I finally was able to get a video of my Space Pod core lit up. I hope this works. It's lit with the 20 dollar LED set I told everyone on here about a month ago. I really do like the results. Enjoy!

Philip, best of luck with the lights.
I simply drilled a hole in the center, for the ribbon to pass thru, separated the lights, so they followed in sequence, and drilled a small hole on the side of each wire, evenly spacing them around the base. I then anchored them down permanently with a group of very small zip-ties, which I found at Wal-Mart, in their automotive electrical section. They hold really well, can be trimmed, and lock in place when you pull them tight.
Then, I simply fed the ribbon under the floorpiece, and located the circuitboard in front of the control panel of the ship, right on the floor, with superglue. I ran wires for the batterybox out the rear of the ship, near the bottom of the door. ( When I make my display, I'll simply "blend" the wires into an alien plant near the rear of the ship, so it won't be noticed. ) The batterypack will be accessed thru the bottom of the base, and since the set says 300+ hours on one set of batteries, it should last a long time. I spliced in a toggle switch to activate it from outside my display case, and since the set has an automatic 15 minute off setting, the batteries won't drain accidently. It really did work out well.
Thanks for looking, and good luck with your set when you get it.
Sincerely,
Scorp.

UPDATE:
I've finally gotten the Space Pod & Chariot into their finished diorama case, and I'll try to get some pics of the finished scene and post them this week. Hope everyone enjoyed the light video, and had great success with their light kits from this guy.
Well, time to move onto my Seaview, and my Flying Sub kits. Slowly catching up on my Moebius builds. LOL
Sincerely,
Scorp.
