"Frank Ulbrik" 09-09-2008, 11:49 AM Rules look great Dale! nutz4rc 09-09-2008, 12:45 PM Lot of work involved in getting these ready. Thanks for the update. L4OvalRacer 09-09-2008, 08:53 PM Dale can you run a 13mm Rotor in the 13.5 Sprinter Class.. "Frank Ulbrik" 09-10-2008, 01:49 PM Dale can you run a 13mm Rotor in the 13.5 Sprinter Class.. stock size rotor should be faster in a 13.5 anyways. i wouldnt worry about run'n the 13mm rotor... wallyworld 09-10-2008, 04:41 PM Thanks for the help Frank. Also the front page for our website has the up coming seasons big oval race dates now. Stateline R/C 09-10-2008, 06:12 PM hey dale you need to put a website link on your signiture that comes up on the rt of every post B-rad 09-10-2008, 09:04 PM IM NEW... im wanting to try the 21.5 lipo class is there a brand specific motor i have too get or is it open? thanks I vote for 21.5 lipo! Dale your the man! "Frank Ulbrik" 09-11-2008, 10:47 AM I should have a lipo car built by the end of the month as well. nutz4rc 09-11-2008, 02:28 PM The rules for pancar say that the 21.5 and all brushless must be Novak. The other classes like NASTRUCK and Sprint Cars only require a ROAR approved brushless. The Legend is a Novak 13.5 EX which is non-sintered and comes with the XBR ESC. Metal 09-11-2008, 11:00 PM Monti- I see ya lookin..................get your butt up here on the 27th Deel racer57 09-12-2008, 10:23 PM Sprint car questions? I run HD cars and they don't come with a wing so is fabbing my own legal? Also there are several different length arms available are we allowed to use them? Which motor class gets more cars? I'm thinking about coming up with DK and want to make sure I bring the proper toys to play in your sandbox ;) aeRayls 09-13-2008, 01:45 AM LOL racer57 you "run" HD cars. Maybe I can talk Corns into letting me run the "spare" on carpet. You best watch out for the bumblebee at the king of the wings. Man up and run a gearbox truck on carpet. I'll take on all challengers and bets. LOL nutz4rc 09-13-2008, 09:22 AM Dale told me I couldn't run offset chassis (that is longer arms on right side than left). He didn't say you couldn't run longer arms, so it may be OK. I know the rules state that wing must be mounted in a way that is from the kit. Since you didn't have a wing I would refer that question to Dale. He is not available at this time and so the answer will probably come a little later. You can get a wing kit (if you want) from several sources like Kipps Hobbies, Custom Works, etc. Most cars in Legends and NASTRUCK. There are suppose to be 14 guys planning on running 13.5 Sprint that would make it 3rd largest. nutz4rc 09-13-2008, 11:49 AM I went back up the posts and checked the 13.5 and Outlaw Sprint Car rules. If you plan on running the points series or on a regular basis, the rules say run a Cobra, Custom Works, Klein, Barts, or approved chassis. I would suggest you discuss with Dale but I imagine he would approve the HD if it is run with standard arms that come with the kit and a wing from a manufacturer as stated in the rules. racer57 09-13-2008, 05:49 PM I'm a manufacturer and I build my own wings so does that count? lol I will get a CDK wing mounted up before I make the trip. SHHHH Adam huffrcman 09-13-2008, 05:59 PM Lipo rule stinks. nutz4rc 09-13-2008, 08:05 PM Racer57, I doubt Dale would have a big issue with your wing. Huffrcman, You would need to discuss the Lipo rules with Dale. I think it is the same we have been running for the last couple of years. yokman 09-13-2008, 10:10 PM I'm a manufacturer and I build my own wings so does that count? lol I will get a CDK wing mounted up before I make the trip. SHHHH Adam your not racing carpet!!!!and if you do ,bring one for me too:wave: AMS Racing 09-14-2008, 01:45 PM Hello All, I am looking at getting back into RC racing on the Oval. Really it is more like starting since it has been 88-89 since I ran RC. What is a good class to start with? I was looking at the 17.5 class, but since I will have to get batteries and charger, was looking at classes that run Li-Pos for that reason. Any other things you may think will help will be appreciated. Thanks. Kurt Metal 09-14-2008, 09:04 PM 17.5 4 cell will be a great class all season. Great class for learning car setup and honing driving skills. Slightly easier on the budget. The slowest Lipo class offered is the 21.5/3200 battery. So far no one has run this class yet But I see it picking up steam real soon. Our season opener is on Saturday the 27th at 4pm. Stop on by and check out some racing action and feel free to ask all the question you might have. Brian Deel Stateline R/C 09-14-2008, 09:08 PM i think i have some guys that want to run stadium trucks this winter im sure they wont be as fast as adams is but we used to have the best time racing them on carpet aeRayls 09-14-2008, 10:30 PM Just post up whenever some guys wanna run some trucks on the oval. I know my dad and I will run. It's just one of my favorite classes from back in the day. I'd be excited to run some. Also, post as to which motors they want to run 27t or 13.5. nutz4rc 09-15-2008, 09:27 AM AMS Racing There are several at the track who are very willing to help you out. I have never seen anyone pushed away. Of course you must respect when they are preparing for a heat or repairing but other than that advice is easy to find. I would go with the Lipo class (IMHO) only because it takes battery care out of the equation and you can concentrate on chassis set up. nutz4rc 09-15-2008, 09:29 AM Adam is right, stadium truck oval was always a blast. I think I may have the remains of a T3 around here. If we run Lipo I could probably be in the mix. Post something about motor, battery, and tire size and I will see if I can get something built. Stateline R/C 09-15-2008, 04:51 PM we were thinking lipo for sure TRUCK foams no pan car tires 13.5 or 10.5 ?? thats what we used to run?? open for suggestions nutz4rc 09-15-2008, 07:51 PM I really don't care. I will wait to see what Adam has to say. jluck 09-15-2008, 07:51 PM i would be down for some 10.5 truck Corey1701 09-15-2008, 09:02 PM i would be down for some 10.5 truck You just better get to work on that 13.5 Nastruck! :) jluck 09-15-2008, 09:10 PM dont worry ill be there nockin some doors in a few weeks aeRayls 09-16-2008, 02:29 AM For truck 13.5 at most. Last time I ran truck at Summit(couple of years ago) I ran 56 laps all 3 quals and the main with a stock motor and 3700's. 10.5's on 6 cells on carpet would be ballistic and a giant hack fest, I wouldnt run it. With the trucks being open wheel accidents will happen more frequently anyhow. 13.5 any brand. Any 2 cell lipo or whatever mah 6 cell nimh. Weight should be 52oz (It was 56oz for years) I figure -4oz for lipo and you shouldnt have to add much if any. Weight isnt a huge concern in the truck class anyway. 1/2in ride height has been standard for a long time. Any truck tire of course Jaco/BSR or TM if you dare. Standard truck rear spoiler NO side dams. I small side dam no more than 1/2 in above the roof does help to stabilize the truck in the corners. If people agree I'd have no probs running them. NO offset chassis. Stock chassis only. Trust me I have made a ton of chassis' over the years and a truck with the stock chassis and battery down the middle is the way to go. Any after market lowering kit is fine. Stateline R/C 09-16-2008, 06:35 AM that sounds good but we all have side dams already from running the dirt oval if thats cool, im working on them every week ill let you know when, were still outside right now. you wont have any trouble smoking us anyway. ive seen your truck run nutz4rc 09-16-2008, 10:17 AM The master (Adam) has spoken. I agree with every point. Now I will need to try and find some truck foams. One question for you Adam, what about a B3 chassis truck? aeRayls 09-16-2008, 12:59 PM I've seen guys run the B3 chassis. Just looks odd because its short and the body looks awkward on it. I got no prob with it. As for side dams. Are you guys running like a billboard on the side? How tall? I guess I wouldnt have a problem with 'em. Dale might if they are huge, as far as getting upside down and hurting the carpet. Sateline, when did you see my truck? and thanks. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
