It sure is awfully quite around here for there to only be about 4 weeks until racing should start. Where is everybody?

I'm pumped... The 4th huh? good, that gives me just enough time to figure out how to get all these old junk Maxamps and novak brushless systems to work in my Honda. :woohoo:

Will racing still start at 10:00 am, or later since this is further away? Will race fees remain the same or go down?

I'm not sure on the 4th and Ryan can answer all the other questions. I just know it's generally the 1st Sat in October.

I would assume we'll have a big turnout. I'm sticking to the stock class rules everyone else is running. We just have to be careful, stock truck is Jojo fry's favorite class!

Can't wait for indoor season! Last year was alot of fun! I'm sure this year will be more of the same!

P.S. If anyone is looking for a good deal on a new B44, send me a PM and and I will get you the details. A buddy of mine bought one new, built it, ran 2 practice packs through it indoor, and is selling it because he can't race this year.

Doug,
I know you copied that directly from the CRCRC forum but I'm curious as to what they MEANT to write as the address. There is no 717 ave anywhere near OSU and if they meant 17th ave, it starts at 1900 17th ave when it becomes E 17th and goes up. Anyone have any info on this new location? I could be wrong, but I couldn't find the posted address.

Ryan,
what kind of dirt are you bringing in? If it is sifted top soil we will most likely need different tires than usual. Something like M3 holeshots/inside jobs or red tapers and red BK bars or maybe the Panther tires will work.

We are getting a mix of clay and topsoil. As for tires, we won't know till we run on it. We will see...

Hey Scott,

Good catch. The Cooper Arena is off Exit 111 off 71 south turn right at the bottom of the ramp and go in the fairgrounds entrance about 1000' down on your left.

McCulloughs indoor track is only topsoil. They wet it between rounds lightly only. Tires are pink taper pins ground to slicks. As much traction as at Ryan's fairgrounds track. 1/8th scale and truggies run pink taper pins, inside jobs, switches, just like at Ryan's. The nice thing about topsoil is that you CAN wet it during the race day, as opposed to an all clay track that has to be wet the night before and let to sit, or it like racing on gorilla snot.

Thanks Chris. Found it. So it's supposed to be 717 E. 17th St, Columbus OH 43211. Anyone know why they're changing the location for the Midwest Champs?

They used that building at the '06' race. It is a very nice building. I do not know where the pits are going to be though. When I raced there we pitted in the same building. The heat is also better.

There's more info now on the RCtech website. There's a separate building for pitting that's only a 20ft walk to the building with the track.
