I am trying to get a class of Losi Mini late models racing at the local dirt track and was just wandering how many other tracks were racing the 1/18 scale late models. If anyone in North Carolina would be interested in racing at C&S Raceway in Cherryvile NC please let me know. I would like to see a brushless class allowing you to run the Castle Creations mini sidewinder brushless system, any tire compound as long as it is a foam slick, or the stock tires, and also allowed to run any NIMH or NICD battery. The reason for not allowing lipos is to keep cost down. At Hobby Town USA in Mooresville, NC we are selling the rtr Losi Mini Late model for $185 and the brushless system for $104.99. I have ran at the track for the last 4 weeks against the 1/10 scale 13.5 Novac brushless cars and I am within 3 tenths a lap. Now that is quick. For under $350 you can be just as fast as the 1/10 cars and have just as mutch fun. Any feedback welcome. Thanks.

If you want to keep the cost down and get racers run the mini sliders all stock! They are fast out of the box and with alittle tweaking with stock parts they are very racey! We started a mini latemodel class at our indoor track and the class continues to grow every week even through out the summer months. You can buy alot of motors/brushes and tires for the cost of the brushless system. Don't get me wrong brushless is great I ran it in my nascar and my truck, but there no better way to get new people in or a class started than a low cost race level rtr kit.
