For me, this was the nicest surprise in the kit. A beautifully Aurora-esque illustration- really made me feel like I want that model!
I understand why it's not being used to promote the kit: it shows the Robinsons inside, driving like a bat-out-of-Hell to escape a strange alien electrical "storm"- wherein, in fact, the only figure included is the Robot.

It's the illustration on the front of the instruction sheet. My omission...:o

OOo haven't looked at mine yet! Only thing I did was check for tire melt, and then repack it. (My current project is building a roof over my deck, so no model making for a short time..)

My instructions were under EVERYTHING else in the box. Dig 'em out. Betcha will smile.

Hi
For those of us who don't have the Chariot kit - yet, would it be possible to scan this to show the forum the illustration - without violating Moebius' copyright of course.
Thanks!

I thought the painting was much better than the box art and it should have been used instead of the retouched photo (nice but not as nice as the painting).
The fact that the painting had figures, etc isn't a problem at all. Airplane models show the planes flying with pilots, tank models show them with tank crew, etc. There is usually a line on the box that says "kit contains one model of one vehicle" or something like that.
