I would contact Todd Putnam. He has lots of information about chassis. oldtimer 09-03-2008, 08:25 AM Before we can answer that we need to know what car you are running . As the castor you run depends on the chassis . MIKE VALENTINE 09-03-2008, 09:43 AM Quick answer: The castor used to angle the A-arm is used to absorb imperfections in the track (bumps, holes, etc). Take an offroad car or truck, they use 30 degrees most of the time. If they ran zero on the arms the impact from the jump wouldn't compress the shocks. Castor at the wheel (castor block) is for tire contact patch while turning. Hope that helps Todd Putnam 09-03-2008, 03:01 PM Valentine is correct - kickup and caster are two entirely different things, and did a great job of explaining the difference. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me at the shop M-F, 9-5 EST... Regards, Todd Putnam Putnam Propulsion 518-452-0422 vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
