View Full Version : 96 cents for Greenlight cars at TARGET?
STUTZ 08-31-2008, 07:15 PM I bought this at a local TARGET today. It was the only MCG Series 7 left. I saw a man leaving the diecast aisle with quite a few Greenlight cars. I found this one on a shelf not far away from the Greenlight pegs. It's a new series and I wonder why it was priced at 96 cents.
The sticker says "As Is"......but the clamshell is "As New".
You might want to checkout a TARGET in your area to see if MCG Series 7 are 96 cents.

That's why the guy probably left it.
Good luck at TARGET Ward. I still wonder about the price of 96 cents.
Acererak 08-31-2008, 10:42 PM Great find Ray. Considering a week ago I bought 6 MCG series 7 at $3.99 each.
GLH Turbo 08-31-2008, 11:09 PM "I'd buy that for a dollar"
Mark Hosaflook 09-02-2008, 04:41 PM Looks like I'll be stopping by Target tonight.

I think this was an isolated incident. GL at my Target are regular price, and no one else has confirmed that price at their store. At my local store, they didn't even stock that release yet:confused:

I agree. It was probably a mistake by a stocker or something like that.
DCPDGUY 09-03-2008, 11:04 AM Mine had them at 1.98 once when they were on sale and the new series just came out. But under a buck I would have been like the first guy. Sorry.
Mikietom 09-03-2008, 11:19 AM I too think it was an isolated incident. The DPCI number that Targets use is not correct for Rel 7 so I would assume (bad idea I know) that it was an oops/
bvis75 09-03-2008, 07:29 PM great score, but when did PA raise there sales tax to 7%, it is still 6% here.
edseldave 09-06-2008, 02:56 AM I also believe it to be an error , I checked a couple Targets , & none are discounted . No release 7 cars either ...
pontiaccrest 09-06-2008, 01:39 PM Hi Mark, did you find them for $.96?:wave:Looks like I'll be stopping by Target tonight.
hav NOT seen any on sale in D/fw so far??

I live in Allegheny County where the state sales tax is 1% more than the other counties in PA. It's been 7.00% for many years. The drink tax (alcoholic beverages) in bars, lounges, etc. is 10.00%. The drink tax is about a year old. It was started so the property tax didn't increase. Many bar owners are upset with the tax because it is hurting their businesses. I wonder if we will have another Whiskey Rebellion here?
I have't found anymore Greenlight cars for 96 cents at TARGET. They were on sale for $1.98 each at TARGET and KB a few months ago.
JasonZ 09-07-2008, 04:48 PM Wow this is a great deal
slythorne 09-08-2008, 11:48 PM It looks like some cheating employee wanted to get it for himself dirt cheap...
AS-IS is manually created clearance.. and with no damage there is no reason to do it as that, unless you wanted to get it cheaper
