View Full Version : pod mount or body mount spdway rcr 03 08-30-2008, 12:55 AM ok guys for carpet racing body mounted wing or pod mounted wing benefits and which is best 67-4-fun 08-30-2008, 01:20 AM I would suggest mounting the wing on the body, mounting the rear wing on the pod will change the angle of down force on the wing as the rear pod pivits back and forth which may change your handling characteristic's where as the body will pretty much stay stantionary.. just my 2cents swtour 08-30-2008, 02:12 AM IMHO - Pod Mounted Wings are used when you need MORE downforce, Body mounted wings are used when traction is pretty good, and doesn't require as much stick. Carpet - Normally, guys are trying to free the cars up it seems (compared w/ asphalt flat tracks), so body mounted....or just a simple spoiler sometimes is used. Carpet Gurus can give you more details... davepull 08-30-2008, 10:53 AM wing on the body why? because I said so That is what the great Steve Fuime told me years ago Fl Flash 08-30-2008, 12:30 PM Do ya really even need a wing on carpet???
