I still have 2 or 3 pan cars and I'd like to run them on very small area. I did a lot of testing this year and my only concern is the motor. I want one that revs low (15000 rpm max.) and have hard time squeezing a Tamiya 540 in. So I wonder if something else could do the job such as an RTR motor or one for crawler trucks. I'd keep stock ones for 'drifting' days.

if you want Brushless - a 21.5 w/ 4 cells is very low rev-ing

Rated at 1800 Kv (1800 rpm per volt - unloaded) so on 4 cells under load it should drop down to about 5200 rpm.

If that's a bit too low, the 17.5 motor I believe is rated at 2200 Kv so it would be a little over 6200 rpm loaded.

I think it is integy that has a variety of high wind (slow) motors for crawlers and lathes. The advantage of those is you don't need a new [brushless] speed control.

if you want to go REALLY high wind, I saw some of the Novak 55 turn motors still available somewhere today.

I still have some sport packs so with gear tuning it could happen with crawler motors. I'll give it a serious try...

You could just turn down your end point on your radio.

Yes I did play with throttle % but depending of motors there was still a difference either in top speed or torque. So I do think the crawler motors should do the job without playing too much with setup. Anyway it's just to use them in a garage - small oval or demo derby if we decide to beat cars to death LOL
