These guys appear to be just a re-saler of Carney cases. They are using the same pictures from the Carney web site for many of their cases.

Well, I just had a nice conversation with the lady at Carney Plastics. I informed her of the website in question. She said she was familiar with them but they were not a re-seller of their products that she knew. I also talked with her about the haulers that are coming and she said she would pass that on to their production department for review.

Finally, she said they has sold a number of 1:64 Scale cases that did not have dividers in them.

She described them as:

25/64 OX (25 count - without dividers)

48/64 OX (48 count - without dividers)

She is going to look into other cases that would hold 64, 72, 84, 96, 108, etc. According to her, the problem with putting 1:55 Scale model into 1:64 Scale cases is the length and sometimes the height of the models. The width was not a problem.

They had sold a number of these mentioned cases to CARS collectors without any complaints so far.

You would think that Carney would be concerned about guys who are selling cases with the exact same specifications as Carney cases and using pictures taken from the Carney web site.

Don't let them fool you! Carney is a large supplier to many vendors and Great Display Cases is one of them. I orderd a 1/24 scale display case from Great Display Cases a while ago and it has a Carney Plastics sticker on the bottom. Carney does not supply their 1/55 scale cases. I talked to a lady a Great Display Cases today. She said that they have a few different suppliers and yes, Carney is one of them. The supplier that makes the 1/55 scale cases is making them only for Great Display Cases to sell right now. They're making one for me with dividers. The ones shown on their site do not have dividers.

I had to email them and ask them to call me (which they did within the hour). The lady told me they'll have a toll free phone number on their web site soon.

Another thing I noticed is that Great Display Cases accepts returns. I don't think Carney does unless you're making an exchange. Great Display Cases also sells Carney's OS 1/64 cases and their 1/43 scale cases. It looks to me like Carney is trying to take business away from one of their own vendors. That's not a very nice way to do business, do you think? :confused:
