View Full Version : Toys For Tots Race at Pete Russell's Nov 30th
KenBajdek 08-26-2008, 12:10 PM It's almost that time of year again. With the help of Pete Russell's hobbyshop and All Pro DJ's we will be starting an annual charity race on Sunday November 30th.
We will be running a little different race program than normal. Timed 4 minute qualifiers and lap count for the mains. All pan car classes 13.5 and 17.5 will be 100 laps, sprint mod mini trucks 75 laps, losi slidier and latemodel 60 laps. No entry fee to race! Just bring an new unwrapped toy for each car you are going to race. If you don't have a toy please make a donation to the toys for tots. ALL PROCEEDS will be going directly to the needy children of Elkhart county. Start time will be 12 noon donuts will be provided.
We willl have a couple of uniformed Marines at the track to help out with collections. Any questions just post them here or PM me or email any questions to allprodjken@embarqmail.com.

The 13th Annual Toys for Tots Race at Joe's Hobby Barn will be run one week earlier this year. The race will be run on Nov. 16. Doors open at 9 A.M. and racing will begin at Noon. The earlier date is so that those who have family get togethers on the Sunday befor Thanksgiving can have a chance to make the race. As ususal we charge $5 and a new toy per class with all money and toys going to needy children in the Wabash Valley. Hope to see everyone there for a great cause and a fun day of racing.

What are the classes going to be? I'll bring down the pan car if you allow 13.5's and 4 cell...
KenBajdek 10-14-2008, 09:28 PM Our races will have 13.5,17.5 pan car 4 cell. Sprints with 10.5 and 13.5 6 cell and mini sprints and mini late models. Come out and support our toys for tots race for Elkhart County.

What ever the case my be this is a good cause Kids needs toy's at CHRISTMAS TIME And their is alot of less fortunate pepole in this area

trussell 10-29-2008, 11:09 AM This is looking to be really great for donoations all ready! We've had quite a few people donate stuff all ready & we're still a month away.
I'm in for whatever! Indy, Pancar, Sprint, it doesn't matter. Should be a ton of fun. Don't forget we are running a lap style features. 100 for pan cars, 75 for sprints & all others will be lap style also. Something different will make it exciting.

After spending too much time with the family Thursday and Friday you'll need to get away and race on Sunday November 30th at the Toys for Tots Race at Petes.
Regular qualifying 2 -4 minute heat races and lap style mains.
100 lap mains for 17.5 and 13.5
75 lap mains for 10.5 sprints

Thanks to everyone who raced & thanks to those of you who didn't race but came out to donate a toy. From everyone here @ Pete Russell's & those @ the Toys for Tots we are proud to be in the company we keep!
As for the racing it was great as usual. The best crowd of the year so far & it was definately the most compitive. Congrats to all of our winners!
