McRooster 08-26-2008, 04:49 PM You were ripped off.
You got a bad deal.
The seller saw you coming a mile away.
A fool and his money soon do part.
There's a sucker born every minute.
If YOU think you got a good deal, that's all that matters.
But showing it off proudly and expecting a "way to go" you stole it, just ain't gonna happen.
One mans junk is another mans treasure.
Once bitten twice shy.
That's a horse of a different color.
Time flies when you'r having fun.
You made your bed now lie in it.
A word to the wise is sufficient.
A penny saved is a dollar wasted on crap.

I laughed for 10 minutes when I read this response. Seldom have I see a tongue so firmly planted in ones cheek!;) I don't think you missed a single cliche!
I agree also, that was a great buy for $6! Way to go Cih, a very nice score indeed. This and the red rescue version were two of my favorite as a kid because of watching EMERGENCE on TV. They looked very much like the truck featured there.
cih1979 08-27-2008, 09:53 AM HAHAHA wow nice response rooster, yeah i know i stole it but the guy had it listed on the bay in all the wrong ways had it listed as a hotwheel, not a redline, which it is technically both, but still i couldnt pass it up at the last minute for the price:devil:
and last but not least, i guess i had to get on and brag a little, it's hard to find good deals sometimes, and rarely do i get to bid on stuff all by my lonesome
I remember having one like this as a child also, i think my uncle who collected HW's when i was born must have given it to me because i only remember two redlines
this one and the snake funny car, and i dont have it yet so one more to the childhood collection, i am actually getting very close to having everything i can remember, i am only missing a very few number of cars, in fact off my head i need a RR 40's woody, yellow t-bird w/ porthole, white chevy citation, bywayman, classic cobra w/RR, and ramblin wrecker
McRooster 08-29-2008, 05:47 PM Glad you guys realize that I was just kidding.:hat:

NYSWLHUNTER 11-23-2008, 02:31 PM i bought that same piece down the street at a antique store for 25 cents. Did u know there is a windshield variation?!
copperhead71 12-11-2008, 11:35 AM If you think you got ripped-sell it to me and ill give you ten$.
zed300 12-11-2008, 06:21 PM Congratulations on a great find! When I was a "little guy" back in the late 70s a friend of mine had one of these and I always wanted one, but never could find it back then. It wasn't until I became a "big guy", that I found one of these, and even then it wasn't easy to find. Mine isn't in much better shape and I paid WAY more than $4.99!
