Just wondering if anyone out there is lighting thier chariot and if so how do they plan do it, or even if it can be done??

From the posts and pics I've seen the top spot lights could prove to be a very intesting challange...

Cheers,

Alec.

As soon as I figure it out, I'll post it for you guys.

is there space in the bottom drive train box (between the axles and the floor of the tub )to hold any batteries? Since that part screws to the bottom of the chariot, you could remove that part to change the batteries. and most of the lights are on the tub part anyway. Except the top two spotlights

I suppose demand would be the key factor here but have you blokes started on the chariot lighting kit?? I plan to start mine in the next few weeks or so now that I have the vinyl templates and my new airbrush.

Congrats on the new aribrush AJ

I'm working on lighting my Chariot by using a printed circuit board (PCB) that I've designed and re-casting the kit parts in clear acrylic ... The PCB will use Gil's (Just An Illusion http://www.needfulthings.net/jai/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=44&osCsid=245b4eaaeb5d8fd95cd97be8c8fd442e) Chariot Light Kit and six additional LEDs.

There's plenty of room in the drive bay for the PCB and a standard 9V battery. I'm just waiting for parts to come in so I can prototype the setup and verify that everything works.

As it turns out, I'll have 4 PCB's left over after I use one for my Chariot ...

I don't have the total cost yet, but I'm guessing at about $50.00 for the built-up PCB and re-cast lights ... If anyone is interested ...

Happy New Year to All

I'm working on lighting the dash as well as the headlights, robot and the back end of the center consol

here you can see where I've cut away sections of the stock dash. I'll overlay it with Gils etched piece after I've neatened up a few more things

Well, I scratched my head and looked at this again.
I realized that I was overkilling on the LEDs. I removed the the four LEDs and the back tray from the dash and decided to just let the back light from the headlight LEDs do the job. And it is just fine. Less bulbs, less wiring, less drain on the batteries, all good

to see how it looks now

sometimes less IS more
