As you have guessed, We are in the final stages of securing a great new venue for the 2008-2009 race season. The facilities are very clean and brand new. It is a Basketball court so it will be smooth. Although we won't have as much pit room we will be warm and dry. The track will be the same size as before.

This year may be tight, we are required to pay rent, and the regular price of admission at low turnout would not even cover that. Donations of duct tape, ink cartridges (yet to be determined), a working cheap printer, and track setup help would be much appreciated.

Racers will be required to bring an extension cord, a pit table (6'), chair, and a splitter/surge cord.

Jack the gripper compound is not allowed and paragon ground effects is Preferred.
We will alternate dates with Vinton so that puts us running the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. I will post the full details when I get them all together. We will also not be running on any BRL race dates. I hope to see you all again this year. Stay tuned to this forum for any updates or go to www.twinbridgesrc.com/forum for more details.

We had a little trouble with the user data base on the website forum this morning. All is fixed now. You can now log into your user account and post. I was culling the Web Bot user accounts and accidentally deleted all the users. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Well..... It's official. We have secured our new venue. As soon as we get the BRL schedule we will post the list of race dates. We are planing on starting in October but there was some talk last night at our meeting about doing a track shakedown the last week in September. We will get you all up to speed as soon as we have new information. I also want to thank Don, and Stan for talking to the owner of the building and securing it for us. I will post a new map of the location as soon as I can. This weekend will be full for me so I doubt it gets done this week. Stay tuned....

I tried to strong arm him into getting it done so I can let you all know what is going on. I made him promise it would be in my hands by Monday the 29th. Sooooo....... We will just wait and see if he pulls through. Either way I will get something up.

OK guys and gals, I am getting as anxious as you are. A new map is up on the website. I have also been after SSRedwave to get a schedule up, he needs to get the final dates OKed from our venue management. I will say that we want to do the second and forth Sunday of the month minus any BRL Race dates. As soon as I can get my info from Stan I will post an official schedule up. Class structure will also be what we have had in the past with some adjustments as soon as we get a chance to see what the participation will be. We also will make room for the 21.5 Li-po but we may have to start out running them with the 13.5s to start until we have a chance to see how many we will have for each class. Any suggestion or ideas can be emailed to me.. jack@haleprint.com. Make sure you put a subject in the subject line or your email will be filtered out.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi Guys and Gals, I took it upon myself to go meet with the Owners of our new Venue last night (Sorry Stan, I hope I didn't step on your toes) to shore up the schedule. Let me just say, WOW what a great place. We will have plenty of electricity. We also have chairs there but you can still bring your own as long as the legs have a foot on it. No Metal sticking out that may gouge the new floors.

You will also need a table 6' and a drop cord and your splitter box. We have about the same amount of outlets as Vinton does so you now have an idea as to how long your cord needs to be.

This year we will be setting up the track every race weekend so I would like to get a database of people who want to help set up the track each week. I do have permission to go in Saturday afternoons and set it up the day before as long as it doesn't conflict with other activities that may go on there.

The dates I have received are as follows.
Oct. 26th.
Nov. 9th & 23
Dec 7 & 28th

I will get the other dates for the new year after I confirm them with the Venue Owners. This is going to be a great place to race. The track will be 80'x48'. Just as it has been in the past, we will be sharing the track with at least 1 or 2 touring car classes and 1 or 2 EDMs or Modified dirt car classes. As for the Sliders I will just have to see how much interest we will have. I am up for anything.

The only things I see that may change is the Dec 28th date. That is the only one I didn't confirm yet. I am also going to try to get Oct 12th as a practice setup/teardown day, just to shake out any bugs in the system.

I will add anything I have forgotten later but as for now... We are in, We have an awesome Venue. We will be warm, Great Rest Rooms, Concession stand, and We are still in the QCA. YES......

The only other thing that concerns me is soldering irons and motor sprays. The Owners have spent a whole lot of money on the 1 year old facility. We can't flick solder on the floor. They are made from Hi Impact Polyurithaine . Kind of like a real dense rubber, so any solder or motor sprays could damage the floor. I want to treat the Owners and their property with respect . If we can leave the place as good as when we arrived, I see this as being a multi year deal giving us a home for a long time But we all need to help by keeping any mess contained.

Any questions can be posted here or you can email me directly.

OK, I have secured the Venue for this Sunday Oct. 12th at 8:00am. We are going to do a full setup, System test, and tear down all in one day. If anyone wants to come and join in please do. I am going to bring my Pit table and a car to throw down on the track and shake out the bugs. Please feel free to do so. For the other race dates we will be able to get in at 5:00 pm on Saturdays to setup for Sunday racing. Come and join us this Sunday if nothing else just to see this nice place we have. Follow the map on the Website www.twinbridgesrc.com and use the Man Door on the east side of the building. One more thing, It seems that Dec 7th may have to be switched. I will let you know well in advance if anything changes...

I just want to thank all of the people who came and helped with the Test Setup/Open house day. We had no major glitches and no real problems. Next week is a off week but don't forget Sunday Oct 26th. That is our first official race day. I will have the doors open at 7:00 am. We are planning an earlier start then in the past. I will let you all know for sure after our Wed. night meeting.

We are trying to keep RC Racing in the QCA. Our new venue is Awesome. We were greeted with respect and we all tried to convey that to Paul and his partners. I see a good future for us here.

For all of our out of town racers I would like to say, come on down and check out the new facility. Thanks for all the support you have given us in the past, and we hope to see you again this season.

This is the updated schedule. Notice we had to drop two dates because they conflicted with other activities going on in the building so we decided to just drop those days instead of stepping on other tracks toes. If something were to come up and those dates were vacated then I will try to get them back but for now the schedule stands...... Sorry for any inconvenience.

Oct. 26th.
Nov. 9th & 23
Dec. 7th(dropped, no race), 28th

2009 dates are

jack thinking that the b4 cars will run 10.5 motor and the hd and cw cars run a 13.5. just to see if it evens things out.. same class but totally different cars. that and the four purple tire rule and lets race. will have to come up with a ground clearance rule and make sure that the bodies are rounded on all corners. hope to see you soon.

Hi all, a few of us traveled to Vinton last Sunday. What a blast we had. There were about 35 total drivers and I am not sure what the total car count was. I do know that there were a few people driving two cars. We are real close to the same size track as Vinton. I was told that they were 82x48 and we are 80x48 so you make the call. Our new track is longer then the old one. Remember we had the carpet rolled up on the ends? Not any more... Our racing was real close. Kevin Klyber definitely had the fastest car. Jim J, and Nick Sackett were a close second. I ran OK all day. No major mishap's. I think I ran 5 or 6th all day. I was a little slow and just couldn't match the pace of the front runners. Now on the Twin Bridges next week. I talked to about 15 different people about our track. I know that we should have about 10 out of town drivers (OVAL) coming to run with us Sunday. I am doing all I can by pushing our race track everywhere I race and I always get new people coming up to me and asking questions. NICE..... Spread the word. Let's get all of those old racers back. TC guys you need to push our track in your racing circles. Lets make this year a success so we can have a place to race again next season.

Just a reminder to everyone. We are having our Season Opener this Sunday Oct 26th. http://www.twinbridgesrc.com Don't forget to bring a table and your drop cord and splitter box. We have some chairs and you may bring your own but make sure you have rubber feet on it. We don't want to damage the new floors. Another thing to remember is to NOT flick solder on the floors. Please bring an extra rag for that. We have a great new place to race and I want to keep it that way.
