The first group of M2's has nearly sold out at my local Wally. Only one of the Oldsmobiles is left. I am excited about these cars and bought 3 of the singles. That means others bought 8. I also bought one 5 pack and a single clear car at other Wallys. This all took place in the short period of a couple weeks.
Now we will see how Wally treats this situation. I am hoping we don't see the same exact case refill the pegs, as interest may not exist in this fairly small population center to rid the pegs of these same cars again.
If that is the case we all know these will sit for a LONG time and Wally will give up on them, never to bring them back.
I doubt that any real personal input will occur, rather it probably is in the hands of some re-ordering software meaning who knows what.
I would love to see the other waves come, the customized ones or the newer castings of the (third?) wave.
Some of the other half dozen Wallys I have visited have the cases of clear cars. I will be surprised if these do not end up warming the pegs. They are not as enticing as the nicely painted ones for display. I have been excited to see them only because I am looking for the limited totally clear ones ( I love hunting for HTF stuff). I found the totally clear Bel Air, but that is probaly it for clear buying for me.
At any rate, my appetite has been whetted for these great cars. I have spent $37 on them in ten days, way ahead of my normal off-the-pegs budget.
At 5 bucks a pop, pegwarmers can really bung up the pegs, unfortunately.
No complaints here, just figured the M2 people will want to hear what we think.
