The first group of M2's has nearly sold out at my local Wally. Only one of the Oldsmobiles is left. I am excited about these cars and bought 3 of the singles. That means others bought 8. I also bought one 5 pack and a single clear car at other Wallys. This all took place in the short period of a couple weeks.

Now we will see how Wally treats this situation. I am hoping we don't see the same exact case refill the pegs, as interest may not exist in this fairly small population center to rid the pegs of these same cars again.

If that is the case we all know these will sit for a LONG time and Wally will give up on them, never to bring them back.

I doubt that any real personal input will occur, rather it probably is in the hands of some re-ordering software meaning who knows what.

I would love to see the other waves come, the customized ones or the newer castings of the (third?) wave.

Some of the other half dozen Wallys I have visited have the cases of clear cars. I will be surprised if these do not end up warming the pegs. They are not as enticing as the nicely painted ones for display. I have been excited to see them only because I am looking for the limited totally clear ones ( I love hunting for HTF stuff). I found the totally clear Bel Air, but that is probaly it for clear buying for me.

At any rate, my appetite has been whetted for these great cars. I have spent $37 on them in ten days, way ahead of my normal off-the-pegs budget.

At 5 bucks a pop, pegwarmers can really bung up the pegs, unfortunately.

No complaints here, just figured the M2 people will want to hear what we think.

Kenpooro,

Thank you for the information. It's always good to hear what's going on in other parts of the country. By the way, where are you located?

Thanks again for your interest in M2 Machines, Sean

My local WalMart hasnt put any M2's out yet , but one I stopped at in Antioch ILL several weeks ago had some . I bought a box set & a couple singles . I stopped there again this weekend & most of the regular singles were gone , most of the clear colored ones were still there . It didnt look like any box sets sold .. , But I bought another box set of the stock vehicles .. GREAT STUFF!!!

My local WM hasn't put out any M2's to date. I've recently picked up half a dozen of them between TRU and Milezone's...very impressive diecast indeed!

I've bought several pieces at the Wal Mart in Cheyenne. The "pegwarmers" are clearly the clear bodies. Singles of stock, properly painted cars are virtually not available - there may be one or two Oldsmobiles left. I have not been able to find the stock '53 Ford or the '57 Chevrolet singles; they must go quickly. This store also sells the multi packs and has plenty in stock. I do not think the multi packs containing the clear or stretch cars are very popular but those containing stock cars seem to have all sold.

The Super Wal-Marts have them here in WA, regular WM's don't. And yes the "Clearly Authentics" are peg warmers at both TRU, WM, and some on-line dealers. M2 should probably not market the clear ones as mainline models and use them for limited edition / novelty releases.

Interestly, none of the four Walmart's here in Lexington, KY have had M3's, but some stores in the outlying areas have. Disappointing.

Cedar Rapids- All WM's stocking with two fronts, here. Product seems to be rotating between the factory model, then clear, then customs. Factory config disappears fast, customs move out but linger, and the clearlys are starting to plug things up. No boxed sets that I've seen.
I also fear the line may lateral to the clearance section to get rid of the clear ones.....that will be the death knoll for M2 at WalMart.
I know nothing about what it takes to get one's product on these famous shelves, or if it's even possible to talk to WM's marketing or get an assesment on making possible adjustments on product offerings but if I was M2 and wanted to keep WM- I would be trying to do something here.
Maybe it's just the demographics of this region, but it seems sales are being lost on "factory" models and buyers are not interested in the "clearly" versions......at least not to the degree that they are being put out.

Love the cars. Just for the record, I don't buy the customs and clearlys...so the motivation for my comments is apparent. That said, I think my appraisal of this problem is still objective.

Out of the 5 WM's, 3 Targets, and 1 TRU, have not found any M2's in any of them here in Syracuse, NY... and I'm dying for some!
