Is this one of the limited versions of this series? Was hoping to find the chrome Fairlane but this was a good find.

Everything is clear except the chrome...even the tires.

That does appear to be a chase car since the seats are also clear.

Hi Kenpooro, Yes, that is the chase car for the Clearly Auto-Thentics. Less than 400 of these where produced. Congratulations!

I just picked up the 54 Mercury Sun Valley from R2. It also is totally clear including the seats. I guess all the chase pieces will be this way?

These "clear" cars remind me of the scale model from the '60s of the human body. It was a see through person with the guts and bones on the inside that were now visible. I didn't like it nor do I see the attraction with these cars either.

Only the clear series cars are plastic , The regular cars are diecast like Greenlight & JL . These are very well done & I have bought most of them . But only a couple clear / colored ones .

Kenpooro : I have a Chrome Fairlane Chase car , want to trade for the clear Chevy ??

Well, we don't make clear plastic die cast. One of our lines, the M2 Machines Clearly Auto-Thentics, have a clear or tinted plastic body. It does have a real die cast chassis. It also has all the same number of parts and features as our regular line of "real die cast" cars the M2 Machines Auto-Thentics.

It has opening hood, doors, individual chrome bumpers, headlight rings, headlights, chrome hood ornament, tail lights, dash, steering wheel, interior seats, engine pieces, air cleaner, clear tires, correct wheels/hubcaps for year of car, correct tampos of emblems and chrome trim around entire body, collector base, screw on the bottom of the chassis for easy customization of car if so desired.

Whew, I think I mentioned just about everything. Yup, sounds like a cheap car too me.

You know, I thought the same thing. Months ago I contacted someone on the slot car forums about customizing the clear car bodies to be used on a some slot car chassis. I thought the slot car guys would dig some new bodies for their slot cars. I sent the guy a few and never really heard or seen anything. O well.

Hey Sean,

Are the M2's ever going to show up in a store in Arizona? I haven't seen any Wal-Marts that have stocked them, assuming that is the only place they are available. LMK

Thanks,

Clark

I have yet to find ONE of these cars that wasn't plastic.
Where then do you find the ones that are supposed to be diecast?.
I've seen tons of them at retail, ALL were tinted plastic, never found a solid one yet.
Sorry if I upset anyone with the "cheap" remark but when that's the ONLY thing you can find, you go with what you know.

Toys R Us has them , along with WalMart . Many online retailers have them too . Try Milezones ...

Clark, that's is such a coincidence about Arizona. Early last week a friend of a friend told us that he was unaware of our product and saw it at a Wal Mart in Arizona. He loved it and picked up a bunch of M2 product. Let me see if I can find out which Wal Mart he went to.

No problemo McRooster, where are you located if I may ask? As mentioned before, we are in Toys R' Us and some Wal Marts. We are also in a few other stores that are only in certain regions of the country. If I know where you are I can maybe direct you to another retail location.

I found some of the metal ones here at TRU, and some I ordered from Milezone's. Hope they show up in your area so you get to check them out

I wish I had known earlier that these were limited. I passed up on a couple of different clear models because I liked the looks of the colors versions better. Now I know!

There are only two clear "chase" or "limited edition" Clearly Auto Thentics as far as I know - 54 Sun Valley and 54 Bel Air. The chases are totally clear, including the seats and engine.
A friend recently gave me the Sun Valley. I hope Ken gets tired of his Bel Air someday :-)

Wish there were more opportunities to hunt for some of the HTF M2 stuff, but they (Wally's) are real slow at restocking these when the pegs are empty. The cars sell out pretty fast when they do---except the clear ones.

I found a hobby shop (crafts, models, trains of all sizes, supplies, and now M2's) with them hanging.

I haven't got sick of it yet, guys. Especially since I have it hanging with the HW Fright Car clear Phastasm.

If I ever do I won't forget that you 2 guys were the first to ask...first Frank and then Dave.

Thanks, Ken. I think Dave is looking for the clear chase Sun Valley.
Thanks for the thought. I won't blame you if you keep it. These are very cool.
