i haven't raced in many years, but was curious if anyone here raced in the houston,tx area. would like to check it out again and look into racing.

Mikes hobbyshop is in Carrolton (Dallas) M&M on chimney rock in Houston is open, and I do believe K & M is still open in the houston area, There is one connected to a BMX track in the houston area as well, but i forget the name of the track... I lived in houston for 15 years and left there about 3 years ago, the info should still be accurate, M&M has been in business for about 20 years.

This is all the same track links. I would give them a try. They are by far the best Houston Area R/C Track. The On-Road Nitro Track has just over 200' of back straight. The off-Road track is coverd, so no rain outs. I believe they will have indoor carpet racing for oval and minis soon. It has been 3 months since I raced there, so I am not sure of the progress.

Gulf Coast Speed is in Porter Texas. That is the name of the track, The hobby shop is Mikes-Hobby Shop (Not to be confused with the mikes hobbies in Dallas)

Clearly that is not just an oval track. Since that photo was taken a big covered off-road track was build to the west of the track. The whole track is lined with 100 pitting tables. 2 Story drivers stand, Members Lounge, BBQ Pit, Concessions and much more.

thanks for the input. i have an old modified rc10 from the early 90's, so it probably wouldn't compete. but it still would be fun to take it out and play around for a few hours and check out the new tech
