View Full Version : Talk about something different...how about a 1:64 Eagle Bus?
69Stang 08-23-2008, 12:44 PM Picked ths up at the local flea market today. A dead on scale late 70's Silver Eagle custom coach. I will be repainting this into a custom, but you can see it came as a Fleer football piece. I don't know who made it, (China, where else? My guess is maybe Matchbox based on the art of the logo) but they hit the scale just dead on! This thing is all diecast and heavy as real bus!
I will post pics one day when she's painted. But I wanted to share this cool casting. If you are into buses or RV style coaches, look for this bad boy!

Last pics shows wonderful, full 1:64 scale. It looks great with the cars!
Nice one, Ward. What are you going to repaint it into? (here is hoping for a race support RV)
wildbill63 08-23-2008, 03:30 PM Hey Ward, cool bus! You can catch these on the 'bay sometimes pretty reasonable. I have bought five of them so far to strip and repaint with Flatlands Band colors (gloss black base with green and yellow trim (flames maybe?)) and give them out as a fan appreciation thing.
I believe mine say something about Fleer and/or WhiteRose. Some of them you can push down on and a prerecorded saying about the team will play. Anyway good score, pun intended.
p.s. nice WL '55 BTW.
would make a nice car hauler. i would cut just behind the last window down to the body line that goes over the wheel wells.cut all the way to the rear following the body line all the way around. remove cut out.then cut the rear off the pieace you just cut and remold it back on behind the window. at the rear end make a cut to recive a ramp going to the new back you just added. now you have a camper/car hauler. maybe add a tire rack. lots of options on this one.
69Stang 08-23-2008, 06:27 PM What a GREAT idea Gunn, see, that's thinking outside the box. Now I will be looking for another one just for that very build. Maybe a great Tractor pull or Monster truck rig!
And your right G, this one will be a race support rig. I am working on a long term project of my own fantasy shop and garage. A backdrop dio for pics and general fun. And besides trucks, I will most shurly need a buss for the crew!
i just got off the bay. only 1 found. $65.99 10 shipping. but side doors open for team bags. bags included
i have a road champs silver eagle here i need to pull out and look at. just for the heck of it.
im getting parts ready for the death race stang right now. so i dont see any buses in the future as of yet.
wildbill63 08-23-2008, 08:05 PM Go to the 'bay and type in "motorcoach" or "team bus" in the search all categories box. Go from there. There is one now for $8.00 BIN and $8.00 shipping, has but eighteen hours left though. Another with a starting bid of 4.99 w/ 10.00 shipping. Hope this helps.

Wow, good heads up, I missed out on a couple that looked to close at $2! I will be getting more of these bad boys. Lot's of custom projects in my brain.
pearl 08-26-2008, 09:17 AM Racing Champions made a tour bus in the early 90s not very fancy but would make a great car hauler..
