I have digital servos on my 1/4 scale. The throttle servo has gone out. Does anyone know if I can leave the digital servos in the steering and get a non digital servo for the throttle? Will there be any effect on the operation of either?

are you running in HRS mode (if it is a Futaba?) if not, I do not believe it matters... Kevin

Like Kevin is saying it all depends on your radio. On a lot of them you can set what the radio transmits in(hrs ppm and so on) like he is saying and i agree because I have futaba also, with futaba you can do it as long as it isnt the hrs receiver(it'll say right on the receiver case) all the others they make are o.k. if you have the hrs which I think stands for high speed response or something like that, you have to go digital again or pick up a regular pcm receiver and you can get the analog servo, as for other brands hopefully other people will write in.

The radio is a Futaba 3pk with the 2.4 gig fast system in it. It is in PPM Mode.
Servos: Throttle Futaba S5050 high torque, Steering Futaba S9151.

You can run any servo as long as you are in PPM OR PCM. You have to run the Digital when you run HRS mode. Hope that helps
