Hello all.
First off, thanks for looking at the videos. Alot of work has gone in to them.
Some know me from the NE Ohio area as I have been in and out of racing over the last 18 years. For those that don't, my name is Jerry Schofield and I have raced off-road, to carpet and even a little oval, in over 5 states.
Over the years, I always looked for a R/C video that was pretty much big races, but only found a few. For the most part that they where of the Worlds and other big races, but they only showed parts of the mains, and pit footage. The XXXmain DVDs are nice, but no race footage from pole to goal.
When Midwest '08 rolled around this year, 2 friends and me sat down and planned out how we could capture the whole event and put it on DVD to pass out. After 6 months of editing, we had 2 complete DVDs, just under 3 hours in length, called "Midwest Bound and Down".
A few months ago, we planned on releasing this, but due to a few matters that came up, (I am putting together a video game review show for YouTube) and other issues, the project began to collect dust on the shelf.
With all that said, we are planning on putting this up on YouTube only. As of this post, all the A-Mains from what would of been Disc 2, are posted. They where shot with 2 cameras and full results after the race is over. I am sorry to say that we did have problems with one camera all weekend, and that is way some shots are a little darker. If watched in the high quality option on YouTube, they look much better.
We are at a crossroads, that I hope that you guys can help with. I am backing out of R/C, and moving in to producing and editing shows for YouTube. I only have time for one hobby, and some of my video game show reviews I have over 80+ hours into with editing and special effects. I am still interesting into filming more R/C events and posting them on YouTube. So, if you do watch, please leave a comment here or on YouTube, and tell us what you think of the videos. If there is a interest, we will continue filming them.
Along with what is up, we have alot more to post. To go along with the Midwest Mains, my partner cut a hour disc set to music with all the cool shots we got on film. Really good stuff! Look for that in the next few weeks.
Also, if you enjoy carpet racing, we have a club race from CEFX that we are going to start uploading tonight call "Three Hour Tour". Check it out as well.
