I think we could use some aftermarket kit parts for this model. Some of the things that need to be addressed are:
Rear Landing strut (is missing 2 horizontial brackets)

Exterior center Door hinge
Exterior and interior Door release
Interior ceiling hatch release

Any other fixes are welcome.

A couple of those external scanners are begging to be given the photo-etch treatment.

Oh, and don't forget the figures (yeah, I know Drew is working on it).

The kit needs new side walls as the details molded to the top slope to allow the parts to release from the mold. You will notice the circular dials wind up being oval and square buttons become rectangular. Most of the control panels bear only a general resemblace to the prop details anyway.

Clear inserts for walls for back lighting would be a good thing as well.

The Rectangular grid on the front of the pod needs to be photo-etch since so many modelers are having problems with it.

I haven't chimed in previously as I wanted to get the Seaview parts out before announcing another project ...
Carson & RI3058 - I'm working up a photo-etch set as we speak and should have something good to show quite soon. The grid's a little tough, though, as it's also the mount for other pieces, but I'm trying to work something out.
I've also got a decal set in progress - corrects the minor problems with the external marking, but also includes the liquid oxy tank markings and all of the control consoles to eliminate the painting hassles.
I expect to have good images to show within the week.
Cheers!

I pulled out my second Pod this morning and NOW I see what you are all talking about with the bad front radiator! Not only is the one for this copy warped, but it also is incompletely shot so it has a ripply surface and there is a lot of flash on the face (where it doesn't have the riplly surface).
My other Pod only has the flash on the surface, which is why I suggested sanding before.
Now that I fully understand the problem, I realize how vital a replacement is. After going over it, I've solved two of the three problems (mounting to the Pod, and mounting to the mounting) and only have the "how the heck to replicate the tubey-things mounting system" left.
