Ward,
Who did you order from and are you happy with a transaction? I am looking for a good source of Kyosho's myslef...
G.
69Stang 08-18-2008, 09:39 PM Hey rioredgt , sweet pics! I love that collection of Horses!!
Amd my good Mr. G, I bought this one for $15 delivered form a ebay seller in Japan named "speedy_samurai"...and no, i'm not making this up! The only problem, he had no more at the time!
I have a IMSA Nissan 300 coming from another seller in Japan, but it's taking fooooooreve to get here! I to would buy more if there was an easier way to grab them!

I've got a whole host of Kyosho's I'd love to get my hands on (e.g., Alfa Romeo 8C competizione, Maserati Tipo 61's and Ferrari 250 GTO's and P4's in race trim, etc.). Let me know if you find a reliable source. I'll do the same if I come across one.
Take care of yourself, mate.
Fast Eddie 08-20-2008, 12:03 PM I too just paid around 14 bucks to get the white and blue birdcage, and it is a beaut. Over in Japan these things cost a few bucks from what I understand!
Milezone 08-21-2008, 06:37 PM Would you guys be interested if we starting stocking teh 1/64 scale line? We are looking into minichamps now, and I am sure we can add these with the group, if there is enough interest?
Russ

YES!!!!
69Stang 08-21-2008, 09:06 PM Holy Gamoly Yes!!! I can't say I would buy more then 1 or 2 a month, simply due to the cost, but I would at least make monthly purchases (speaking for myself!). I would also make you my vender of choice on the Minichamps as well. I truly only buy 3 or 4 a year (gee, at $40 a pop, it eats through a toy car budget) but you would be my source for those as well!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
Fast Eddie 08-21-2008, 10:42 PM Milezone, this would be great news!
Atencio 08-21-2008, 10:45 PM I get mine from a buddy through a guy in Japan at $7.00/each. Only caveat is that I have to buy the whole series. With the decline of JL and the excellent choices of cars it has not been a bad decision. I have gotten every set since Ferrari II with the exception of the Ferrari Indy cars and all the Cal Sonic Nissans in which I split the set with a guy.
rioredgt 08-21-2008, 10:48 PM Please carry them Russ.

sheldon 08-24-2008, 05:27 AM Love the detail on the later releases... the earlier releases were rather weak.
I wish that Kyosho was not so stubborn since their castings are all closed, especially since I think they have nice subject matter. Another Japanese brand, very similar to Kyoso in subject and detail but goes one step further with opening panels is CM's... check them out.

Hey Robert, I took your advice and did a search on the CM's. I had never heard of them and I was really pleased with the castings they are making.
I did not see many cars listed with opening panels, and what I did see did not reveal much detail, but overall all, very cool cars. Thanks for the heads up!

ranchero 08-28-2008, 01:30 PM Kyosho in 1/43 scale is distributed in the USA by the same company that distributes Minichamps 1/43. They may also carry the Kyosho 1/64.

Superbird77 08-28-2008, 03:58 PM I think there might be some licensing issues, that prevent these 1/64 Kyoshos (at least the Mini Car Collection) from officially selling outside Japan. But this is just a speculation.
They also aren't widely sold in Japan, only one supermarket chain carries them I think. And it seems that each series is sold out very fast.
But I'm curious in what quantities they are produced. I see some of the older series appearing on eBay again and again... some sellers really must have a large stocks of them. :p

I would be interested in the 1/64 vintage racers.

The LP400 (lower left in the above photo), is in fact, a CM product. The quality and detail is on par with the Kyoshos. I do believe that at least with the Ferraris, Kyosho will not distribute in the U.S., due to Mattel having "sole" liscensing with Ferrari. That is also why the Kyosho Ferraris come unassembled while other makes are assembled. I just wish that the non Ferrari models where screwed together and not riveted.

I believe you are correct. I have a friend that is an OLD and he can get Kyoshos in the larger sizes but not in 1/64.

Yes! I really wish all minicars from Kyosho were unassembled, as it's fun to put them together and the modifications are easier too.
If you like Japanese cars from the 70's to present you may also look into Konami, Aoshima, there are some cool cars made by Tomica Limited Vintage, what's cool is that they are all up to scale and have excellent details as well.
69Stang 09-01-2008, 09:14 AM Thanks for the names CarC, your right, some very cool stuff out there. I just bid on several of them!
JasonZ 10-19-2008, 08:17 AM IF anyone sold those Kyosho Ferraris and Lambos within reasonable range (In US), I'd buy them all
rioredgt 10-21-2008, 05:59 AM Jason, You have an email. LMK if you don't recieve it.

ernneal 10-21-2008, 10:27 AM Oh man, I'd love to get some more Kyosho cars in my collection. I have 3-4 probably and there are several I'd LOVE to get. I'm more into the racing cars.
I'd love to get all of these Mazdas and some of the Nissans, Porsches, etc.
