Which type/kind should I get? This (http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/4578) one says it must be used with the "newer" AMBrc timing and scoring system. Is this going to be compatible at our local tracks? Thanks.

That's the one as long as there are others at your track running personals it will work.
