What's the hot setup on that rhythm section?

Can't wait to run on the track!

great day yesterday!! perfect weather, good food, and some nice bumper to bumper racing!!

so.....HARA won the world driving a 380.00 dollar hotbodies D8..?? cool.....guess even an inexpensive buggy(specially prepped and in the right hands) can do just fine..........................would imagine that the D8's are gonna be "sold out" pretty soon......................

Toiffel
09-23-2008, 10:01 AM
true, but don't forget all the work and preparation that goes into it, Hara is a great driver, their pit strategy was right on, it's 90% driver and 10% car. IE when Chris was driving "the brick" he was still able to wheel it like a Pro, at the end you can give these guys anything on wheels and they will find a way to get it around the track faster then most of us.

A few of us were talking about the race on Sunday. Hara would have won with most any other car too, I agree. It mostly came down to preparation, skill, and a little bit of luck thrown in, like any other race.

The only bad part is now we have to hear the Hot Bodies/cheap buggy can still win races propaganda until the next Worlds race. Not saying the D8 is a bad car, but any case where people are saying that this car is the only choice out there can't be good for the hobby. Same with any other manufacturer.

Also, R/C Tech sucks. I got banned for saying the f word. Stupid mods there. But I have my ways of getting back on it..

Do you guys know where I can find what pipe does what?? I mean I know a 63 is low end and a 86 is top, but if I'm not mistaken those are EFRA numbers, what happens to the rest? Do they have an EFRA equivalent number or what??

alexrckid
09-23-2008, 05:04 PM
AVIDRC is now selling HOTBODIES D8's........369.00 out the door....shipping included.....gee, wonder if that buggy won any big races lately.....??

alexrckid
09-23-2008, 05:11 PM
ok.....so it was the driver(90/10)......hara is scary good...on road and off road.

SO WHAT'S the deal for this weekend? Mike's race we goin 2run nitro against him?

Gary NJ
09-23-2008, 09:55 PM
What was impressive to me is not that Hara won with the D8, but that Hot Bodies, with a really small team, put 4 cars in the Final - more than any other brand. The cars all looked very good on the track - the car seems to be the real deal.

Yes, Nitro vs Nitro, Then electric vs electric. Then nitro vs electric. That's how he did it last year. It was a good day and another day to run the new layout. Track is repaired, patched, respiked and ready to go. There's your answer x2.

BBQ won buggy and truggy

Toiffel
09-28-2008, 08:57 PM
yeah boyzzzz, everyone got a little taste of BBQ today!!!
Fun, fast and dirty just how I like it!! Awesome run with Ross in truggy, swapping back and forth places, it was down to who made a mistake!!!
Buggy Tim and Ross took off I got a little bit tangled up and fought my way up to third, they had a 8 sec lead until Tim flamed out, the Ross came into pit I decided to make run for it, came down the straight exactly when Ross was pulling put but then he flamed out, after that I was in cruise control....so yes it was a great day!!
