after hearing all the crap that went down with the nats i can honestly say THINGS HAVE NOT CHANGED - i have not run a roar sponsored event since the 1999 nats at sugarbowl -where i saw first hand favortism and piss poor planning - we have GOT to have a organization for oval racing by oval racing -if we dont things are going to get bad - heck they already are i can remember going racing at the sugar bowl and have 40 plus drivers on sat nite and then the black cloud called roar rolled into town and BAMM the drivers started to disappear - when i asked why they all said they had enough and quit --- really we need to think about this guys

What would you suggest happen?
Are you willing to start an organization to oversee Oval racing Nationwide?
If you are talking about the incident I think you are, that really had nothing to do with ROAR, but with an individuals poor choice in his actions. It had nothing to do with any decision made about the racing.

Don't sweat it Scott, there has already been two Orgs killed by racers in this same manner...

iam saying roar needs to step up and pay attention to what s going on they need more people like donnie burnett who is a track promo. and people like jeff helms who is a very helpful racer to grow our part of the sport o k here is the scenero --- track has rules that are carved in stone --roar should consider these rules -- i will have to admit that they have made some changes for the better -- i just would like to see it return to the old days of 40 plus drivers on any given race day

That is the goal spdway.
But R/C has to compete with several other forms of entertainment now days. Kids are so video-game oriented it is hard for the to grasp the thought of "no reset button".

Will, it's like you said in your words... "it will never be the same like the old days"... this goes for Roar officials having a clue. There are competent guys in there now willing to listen to logic, positive suggestions, creative ideas & willing to take a little verbal abuse for what they believe will be a better oval friendly Roar.
