This small touch really makes the wheels standout. This was all under the influence of fellow Hobby Talk members to include Jim Norton.

Those wheels really sell it. Amazing how a little effort in the right area changes the whole picture.
Where IS the disconnect on wheels anyway? The big dogs put huge effort and take great pride in their product. So why does the recent GT 40 release have those gawd-awful five spoke "Gotti" styled wheels. Clearly the correct choice for Magnum PI's 308 and all other modern Spaghetti grinders, but not 'zactly what I had in mind for my Fords.
Dunno nuttin about mass producing slot cars, however it appears that the wheels arent part of the "body/styling" package... rather the wheels are part of the punch press puke them out quick chassis part of the program.
Wouldnt it be something if the guys who designed the bodies actually got to talk to the guys who pencilled the chassis. hahahahaha!
Sorry guys just my morning pull on the opium pipe...nice to dream though. :p

Thanks guys for all the thumbs up, this was one of those I'll try the paint on just one car and see how it looks and before I knew what hit me 5-6 cars had painted wheels.
