As is so often the case, you get what you pay for. Dan's products are excellent (speaking as an owner of such a product).

Yep. We run an Electric 8IGHT with one of Dan's conversions. It holds up on the track, for two full seasons now... and we've seen a LOT of Losi battery trays come off the track in pieces.

Actually as I am getting up and running in my new location, I have been offering discounts to people who are buying my kits right now. I have not had time to change the pricing on my website. Sales are slow right now.. so Contact me at dan@rcproductdesigns.com for pricing.
No one makes an ultimate tray like mine. It is the splash guard and battery tray in one piece. Made in America by me and packaged by my wife. Not a generic tray you have to drill holes in your chassis to mount, or mount at odd angles just to get it to fit. Not made in China for pennies a piece (like the big companies do). It is also the largest battery tray on the market currently the size is at 170mm X 49.5mm it fits almost every battery available on the market today. I will make running changes as I produce new stock in the future to make the tray 53mm wide. The tray is deep and designed to protect your valuable battery packs and hold them securely while racing.
You do not have to drill a hole anywhere in your chassis. You can actually switchback and forth from Nitro to electic if you wanted to, though I don't know why you would go back... LOL!!
