Hi I have a B&S 6.5 hp mower and I the mower is racing very fast high rpms
I was told to check the " check valve" but do not know where and what it is.
Can anyone help me with this and also what does this do? I was told if that did not work to adjust the govenor .....but do not how to do this.

This increase in rpms happened with normal use when starting one day
nothing was done to it.

Go to your local big box store and check how the linkage is hooked up on one of the B&S 6.5 engines, it will save you a lot of time. Have a good one. Geo
