If anyone else saw the trailers for the remake of Death Race, then I hope youre all squeeling in delight too. Im a fan of Jason Statham anyway but when I saw that armored up roadwarrior 'stang he's gonna ride I think I peed a little.

Anyways, Id be all over a set of slots modeled after the Death Race cars. I doubt Auto World will do them, even though they have most of the bodystyles already. Maybe MatTyco will do another figure-8 with the Monster (Statham/Frankenstein's car) and Machine Gun Joe's dodge ram. Grimm's 300C would work, as well as maybe the Jaguar or the Porsche from the film.

What do you guys think?

Yes, I saw the ad and it looked good- Jason rocks. I second the motion of Mattel jumping on the film and making 4 to 6 cars. Finally, there would be cars that would have a fighting chance on Bobzilla's track of monster carnage. :woohoo:

Speaking of Death Race 2000....I seem to remember another murder mystery type movie that part of the plot included the filming of DR2000. I assumed it save a little cash to make 2 movies using common footage. Does anyone know what the name of the other flick was?

Odd, thats news to me. Recycling footage like that for 2 movies doesnt really even seem feasible...
