View Full Version : much more chargeing with lipo 3200 and above?
Porksalot4L 08-05-2008, 01:29 PM hi everyone, i want to start racing lipo pan car but dont know if i need another charger. i have a much more ctx and it says it charges lipo but will it charge the lipo's i would use in my pan car? also is it good for it? does it charge high enough to be worth it or is it junk? lol
thanks!
brian0525 08-05-2008, 01:33 PM If it will charge at 6 amps in Lipo mode then you should be fine but you might want a balancer that you can get to plug in-line before your battery.
katf1sh 08-05-2008, 07:18 PM i think the ctx will not charge a lipo 2c or 3c at more than 1 amp...not gonna cut it..
they may have a new charger out for lipo though?
yep 1 amp only, used for lipo receiver pack
Porksalot4L 08-06-2008, 05:43 PM ahh thats a bummer. i was hoping it would work out that i didnt have to get a new charger. back to the old drawing board i guess. anyone selling a USABLE lipo charger at a good price? lol i ask for so much these days :)

abdule 08-08-2008, 12:43 AM bought alot of " much less" stuff, that charger has been put on the shelf with a bunch of other stuff I don't use anymore:cry:
Porksalot4L 08-08-2008, 05:50 PM to bad that this charger will be just a paper weight for lipo racing. shame
Andy Koback 08-08-2008, 10:51 PM The Pulsar 3???
Porksalot4L 08-09-2008, 12:04 AM no i am talking about the much more that i have. im reading that i can only use it for 1 cell lipo's and with the lipo i would use for pan car racing i would only be able to charge at 1 amp. i guess i will have to start fcharging the week b4 i plan on racing.

98Ron 08-10-2008, 01:51 PM Porks, if ya have a turbo GTX they can be updated for $50.
abdule 08-10-2008, 08:47 PM awesome deal, can even change the face plate for a small fee
Porksalot4L 08-10-2008, 09:51 PM looking for a charger a bit smaller. but that might be the best solution. i did get rid of my gfx though so ill have to look for a good deal online first. i was wondering if the much more was upgradable for lipo's?
