I'm currently running at an indoor carpet track, my brother and I run stock trucks one on the oval the other is an on road course with jumps. The question is what lipo battery to go with (no battery/mah rule) except it has to be 6 cell or equivalent. Right now we are running smc's energy 4600 6 cells with co27's. We would like a lipo that has similar performance to are nimh if possible (we are planning on getting 17.5 motors also)? We are running 13.5 brushless with 4 cell 4600 smc nimh in our nascar class, is the 21.5 and 3200/3400 7.4 lipo the same in performance? Does the set up change alot, or do you gain some extra leftside weight? Other racers are waiting on what batteries and or motors to get for this fall season depending on how these combinations work. Is there a motor/battery combo that you could travel around with and be able to race at different tracks and events?

Any help and info would be Great!

Thanks again,Kris

Can't answer all your questions but will try to get some to you. Your 13.5 4 cell will be pretty close to 21.5 lipo as far as speed. We've been running them together up here at the Clone. The 17.5 will be quite a bit faster with lipo. About the same as 10.5 with 4 cell. Most guys are running the Orion Lipo 3200 as a spec battery. (Equallity) SMC is supposed to have a pretty stout 3200 but where it will be legalized... that's been undecided. The lipo is about 3.8 oz. lighter than a 4 cell pack. You'll have to add weight to make the minimum if your club has a weight rule. We run 2 lbs. 9 oz. with cap tires. Foams must be about 2 oz. lighter. (2lbs. 7 oz.) Don't know about changes to chassis. Have to run it as is and see how the handling goes and make changes from there. All I can tell ya!
