just in case you haven't visited the silvis dirt oval thread we are having a $ race on the 23rd of august. rules and classes that we run are on that thread. please don't think we are limited to these classes, if you have something you want to run bring a couple more guys with similar vehicles and we'll set you up with a race. it's a good time or it has been the past 4 years.

I'll be there, EDM, Sprint and 13.5 LM!!! Can't wait

oh i forgot to post this. the day of the $ race we will only run the following classes. edms, sprints, trucks, and late models.

Tim, Are you going to split the LM's if some 4wd cars show up. I don't want a repeat performance of what happened a couple weeks ago.

it will be edms, sprints, trucks, latemodels, i haven't seen a 4wd lm since then. the 2wd classes are the only ones i plan on running, everything else would fall into a catchall class. i don't really want see that happen again either as i don't want your car tearing up my track. it'll be bad enough with my flatass car out there. i will have to get some more things in line but it should be a good time j. hope to see you all on wednesday, and we can talk about the money race at bill's.

Ok boys listen up. Talked a little to my (big) car owner, Randy Swanson, and he would like to kick in a little extra prize money and sponsor the Moonlight Money race!
I belive that tim said the entry will be $20 per car. $10 going to the track and $10 going to the prize fund. And i think he said he would be paying back 4 positions. So Riverbend pizza place and Swanson motorsports will be adding to that for the Late models, Sprints, and EDMs. An extra $20 to 1st, $15 for 2nd, $10 for 3rd, and 4th on back will get 5$ in the "A" mains. And there will be a 25 lap dash for cash after the 3 heats in which the top 4 or 6 qualifiers will line up inverted and will race for the $20 winner take all dash. The finishing order of the dash will also set the starting order for the "A" main! The last kicker is that the top 2 qualifiers of each main will have a shot at the "back row challenge" that will pay an extra $10 if the challenger is successful! There's no catch, just next time that you pick up a pizza in the quad cities, make sure you get down to Riverbend Pizza in port byron to show your appreciation* !!......oh yeah...and cheer on you favorite local late model (#14!)at a track near you!!!

ok i've already spoke with randy and he said that he would pay an extra 50 if you were to accidently knock mike out of the race.lol. anyhow yes there has been some $ added to the purse and we will be running dash 4 cash races. this will be for the top six quilifiers in sprint, lm, and edm. if we have enough trucks i will pay the $ out for a dash race. i will post the rules and classes later today as now i have to work. thanx you guys tim.

hello gents just to recap the rules. edms will be any battery, the body should be of open wheel origin as recognized by most anybody's rules. if there are issues with the back sides you may have change to suit everyones happiness.the tire must be outside of the body, i don't care if it's just the sidewall. tires are custom works tires only. rubber tires only no foams. motor rule is a novak 4300/10.5 or smaller, if in case of brushed as we have a couple you may be subject to a gear and or timing cap. chassis must be a 2wd transmission.
late models will be the same rules as the west central illinois series. if i need to offer more info please contact me. the 13.5 rule will be enforced as i havr some guys with 10.5s but has not been an issue.
sprint car will be open. pretty easy rules on that one. i don't have box for width so please keep that part as close to the series rule. if there is an issue i do have a tape measure. one rule that i differ from the series is that you can run custom works rather than the buggies.
truck will be a truck body and you may have a body figure only if he's driving a right steer vehicle. any batt, any rubber truck tire, and motor novak 4300/10.5 or smaller.
ok these are the basics, but if race day there are any issues i will have the final say. my main goal is to keep the majority happy and that's the will be.

I'd love to come over wednesday, but don't really have anything ready to go racing at this point. I'll probably spend the next couple nights gettting that sprinter ready. I had to build some new sides and and a hood. Waiting on my new bulkhead for the rear to show up along with that part i got from Ken the other night. Should be good to go. Looking forward to it. I auditioned for it, but i'm too big they told me. Apparently there is a 5'5" height limit or something of that nature:) Got my new car yesterday, it's pretty neat looking. Hoping to get it ready to go for saturday to turn some laps with it. Later.

which weekend are you talking about? if it doesn't happen this weekend, next weekend is the holiday. then after that is the series race, then the weekend after that is the KoW race at allen's. so unfortunately those are the only options. sorry to say if not this weekend it will be next weekend.:wave::woohoo:

ok gents as you know we got a good amount of rain today. the new center did very well and there was no standing water on the track. so heres the deal, if it should rain on saturday and it stops before 330 we are on. the track was hard enough to walk on after raining all day. so i feel pretty confident that we will be able to race even if it does rain some on saturday. those of you that race on a regular basis know i absolutely hat eto give in to the weather. so you will undestand how hard it is for me to say that if by 330 on saturday if it is still raining i will cancel and plan on the following saturday. thanx for your time and see you all later.ktssu.

We may have a venue if I can get dates from the Vinton guys and the BRL. Wouldn't want to step on any toes. I need to give a definite answer for the guy next week. Had a great time last night guys!!! Big thanks for Tim for a great track, Rich and NRP for the the added TQ prize money and to Murf and the guys at Riverbend Pizza for the added prize money as well. Going to have to get to work on that sprinter to see if I can get it up toward the front next time out. Can't wait to do it all again on Halloween weekend:)

hi guys sorry i haven't bee on before now. after our race i went in and watched bristol and then when ent to sleep for all day sunday. congrats to donny for winning the sprints and jason ab for his comeback wins in edms c and b mains and finish 2nd in the a, and to win the lm a. murf won the edm a and two track championships in one weekend. mike murphy jr won the quad city speedway and the davenport speedway imca late model championships this weekend and still had time to come race with us. thanx to all that made this possible and that would be all of you that drove here and raced your hearts out all season, a sincere thank you from me to you. we will do this again in october .
