I know this question must have been asked before but how do you swap wheels? I'm trying to change the wheels of some fairly new HW's. Do they just pull off the rollers? If so, what do you use? needle nose pliers, tweezers?? Any help would be greatly appreciated for this project! Thanks!

With Hot Wheels you drill out the rivets to seperate the base and usually the wheels just fall out. Then you do the same with a donor car, and swap. Try to get a donor car with similar length axles. If you are using another brand as your donor, you may have to shave some of the base a little to make them fit, change the axle ride height, shorten the axle, or other types of modifications.
If you search through the old threads you can find an article or two about doing them.

HotWheels castings have their axles restrained by sets of prongs, an integral part of the base that bends over the axle to hold it in.
Plastic chassis' need merely to have those prongs spread apart but metal chassis' require a bit more effort.
The wheels on Hotwheels will NOT just fall out when the base is removed.
You will need a dremel and cutoff wheel or as I prefer a high speed cutter to grind down the prongs.
MatchBox wheels do however fall out when the car is disassembled.
