I liked it Huzz. Saw it last night. Dumb fun is a great way to describe it. Not just "DUMB", like Cloverfield.....

Ditto that Rich!

Both my Wife and I enjoyed it. A flic does not have to make profound statements or be a potential Oscar winner to be entertaining. And we were entertained from start to finish!

Was it better than the second one? That one was just too kinetic for my tastes. I really liked the first one. It was good fun without a constant breakneck pace and an over dependence of FX.

Well, this one has a ton of special effects and is VERY kineticee.

It was fun! I miss the his original wife though. Jet Li was great as usual.

The new mummy movies aren't as scary to me as the original ones were. I think it's because of the fast action packed pace that never seems to give you a pause. I'm glad that some people still like the new mummy movies. If it wasn't for the success of the mummy remakes, the other remakes like the Wolfman and the Creature probably wouldn't be coming out next year.

I heartily concur. I for one am tired of movies that purport to address all the ills of the world. Its summer - have fun!

As Roger says in his review (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080730/REVIEWS/198380357):

``I, as it happens, have time to waste and cannot do better than to quote from my review of "The Mummy (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/classifieds?category=REVIEWS01&TITLESearch=The%20Mummy&ToDate=20081231)" (1999): "There is hardly a thing I can say in its favor, except that I was cheered by nearly every minute of it. I cannot argue for the script, the direction, the acting or even the mummy, but I can say that I was not bored and sometimes I was unreasonably pleased. There is a little immaturity stuck away in the crannies of even the most judicious of us, and we should treasure it."
