If anyone remembers a few years ago,I had worked on a permanant Dirt Oval here at my home in Wallkill,NY. After much conversation and debate with fellow racers locally Sharkeys R/C Speedway "will" be re-built. :woohoo:As of today,the track is roughed in.I will be looking for good clay,paint and lumber,and also 3 or 4 lights to run night races.I have a 12 X 24 shed/garage that will be moved trackside to facilitate an elevated drivers stand,and timing equipment.
I'll be updating the thread with progress and pics,so................stay tuned!!!

Your track area is going to be great. Can't wait. Guys don't forget when track is done, the Romo bus will be making nonstop trips to S.M.S. (Sharkey Motor Speedway). Leaving Promtly every sat, from Brewster Heights Romo Stop.

Romo' Had a family function saturday,(grandaughter)had to be there.Did get a bit of work done on the track though.Turns 3 & 4 are in the ground. Lanes are 12 feet wide.
I have a some more measuring to do,and should have some pics later on today.In the very near future,I'll be contacting the town to find out where they source their screened clay.More to come.:thumbsup:

Fellas,Just came in from a little work on the track.Took measurments,and removed some rocks.The track measures 40 feet across,by exactly 80 feet long down the center.Lanes again are 12 feet wide around the whole track.The length has been shortened by approx. 15 feet or so.
Heres a few pics I took this morning.NOW it's time for the "BULLWORK";)

looks great,, turns 1 and 2 will be the best for handling into at a steering pitch of 12 degree's -toe in .3 degree's . the fast corner is 3 and 4 with lots of push coming out to the pipe. thus reqiuring 4 degree's of neg. camber for rollover and more positive tire bite..it will be a good track to challenge all comers..so my rating so far is 8.8 out of 10 at this time. i like it and i like the surroundings aswell. PABLO'S RACING GIUDE TO WINNING.....HAHAHAHA:thumbsup:

Fellas,Picked up the rake from Bob yesterday morning,out most of the day raking the track and cleaning up dead grass and rocks.The track will work with ribs and spike tires as of rite now.Not ready for the foam tires yet.Still no walls at this time,but work will continue.................:) Talk at y'all soon.
