RayMusser 08-04-2008, 10:19 AM when is the first race? hobbyten 08-04-2008, 10:40 AM when is the first race? does this mean you'll show up or do you need time to come up with an excuse hehehehehe. just kidding hope to see more of you this yr. Racknor 08-04-2008, 02:14 PM when is the first race? He is trying to get all his stuff priced. 2nd place car to Mel ??? $72.50 Batteries - $50.00 Charger - $ 25.00 Radio $121.32 Total $118.82 Racknor 08-04-2008, 02:21 PM Race idea's 1 Endoro just like last year 2,000 laps 2 Endoro per class 200 laps 3 Michigan state short track championship 4 Thropy race 5 Spec class = spec tires and any thing else goes. Main reason, keep the cost down 6 Losi late models and Losi sprint's. This needs to be pushed very hard. A & B heats all of us need to push new people into this. 7 21.5/lipo open and 13.5/4 cell all together to start with. MKingsley 08-04-2008, 03:15 PM Racknor Who? hobbyten 08-04-2008, 03:38 PM i'm in for the late models and the sprints. anyone looking for a deal on a sprint i have one ready to go for 120. WIGMAN 08-04-2008, 10:59 PM what are you going to use for tires with the losi mini late model? do they make foams for it or will you guys use the kit tires(yeah right). I just checked them out on losi's web site, they look pretty darn cool. Hope you all are having a good summer, Joel Racknor 08-05-2008, 06:47 AM what are you going to use for tires with the losi mini late model? do they make foams for it or will you guys use the kit tires(yeah right). I just checked them out on losi's web site, they look pretty darn cool. Hope you all are having a good summer, Joel Stock tires worked very good on the sprinters. RayMusser 08-06-2008, 10:27 AM Oh I think I will make some time to race with my buds this year! I think The big car is ending withi the next month or so. Ray Brittamaster 08-06-2008, 11:15 AM Tires HMMMMMMMM I know for the Mini Coopers we had to go to the Belted Rad tires to stop the roll over I have been having that problem with the Late model it's something we'll have to look into.. DJD43 08-06-2008, 12:27 PM Race idea's 1 Endoro just like last year 2,000 laps 2 Endoro per class 200 laps 3 Michigan state short track championship 4 Thropy race 5 Spec class = spec tires and any thing else goes. Main reason, keep the cost down 6 Losi late models and Losi sprint's. This needs to be pushed very hard. A & B heats all of us need to push new people into this. 7 21.5/lipo open and 13.5/4 cell all together to start with. How about a Michigan Oval Championship with races at: Mt Pleasant Bay City St Ignace Grand Rapids (Are they still racing on carpet?) Kalamazoo/Portage (Would they be interested in an oval race?) Lets get this season going! I am ready to Race! Don D Racknor 08-06-2008, 03:15 PM That is another good idea. I will see the guys from Grand rapids this Saturday. I will ask them. Jamie Hanson 08-06-2008, 08:58 PM Tires HMMMMMMMM I know for the Mini Coopers we had to go to the Belted Rad tires to stop the roll over I have been having that problem with the Late model it's something we'll have to look into.. There should not be any problem with the sliders flipping over. I know all the tracks around here that run them do not really allow any hopups at all. Some said OK to the aftermarket shocks. That is about it. hobbyten 08-06-2008, 09:33 PM we've had a problem from the start that as soon as you turn in they flip unless we put a thin line of electrical tape on the outer edge of the tire. kevinm 08-07-2008, 06:52 PM Opinion survey - Keith showed up at Grand Blanc once and ran 1 heat of road course, then left. Should I: A) Keep picking on him until he runs an entire race day. B) He tried it, so stop bugging him. C) Keep messing with him just as a general principle. mc43 08-07-2008, 07:51 PM Opinion survey - Keith showed up at Grand Blanc once and ran 1 heat of road course, then left. Should I: A) Keep picking on him until he runs an entire race day. B) He tried it, so stop bugging him. C) Keep messing with him just as a general principle. i vote for c hobbyten 08-07-2008, 08:31 PM a&c he likes the attention. Roadsplat 08-07-2008, 09:57 PM I agree with Al....A & C RC Racknor 08-08-2008, 06:38 AM The reason I didn't run all day is because I felt bad for Kevin's car I was using. I was planning on spending the entire day out there tomorrow but they added a dirt oval race for tomorrow. Road course??????Dirt oval??????? Your car will live for another week. MKingsley 08-08-2008, 10:11 AM Hey Sonny B has posted the class makeup for the BRL this season - hope this can make our classes easier to figure out......MK Racknor 08-08-2008, 09:23 PM Boy this season should be great!!!!! No more buying the battery of the month. toytech 08-09-2008, 02:20 AM my toolbox will also be 50 lb lighter :woohoo: Roadsplat 08-10-2008, 02:23 PM Any idea when the first race is going to be? After Sept 20th would be great for me. RC Racknor 08-10-2008, 08:50 PM Sept 19th sounds good to me. OvalTrucker 08-10-2008, 09:19 PM Race idea's 1 Endoro just like last year 2,000 laps -- I like this idea. 2 Endoro per class 200 laps -- How about a 200 Lap race, instead of a 5 minute race. A LiPo battery will probably go 200 laps. 3 Michigan state short track championship -- At least between MP and BC. 4 Thropy race -- Or maybe Plack's.:hat: 5 Spec class = spec tires and any thing else goes. Main reason, keep the cost down -- 3.5's, TOJ bodies, 11.1 volt LiPo? Just kiddin'. 6 Losi late models and Losi sprint's. This needs to be pushed very hard. A & B heats all of us need to push new people into this. -- I'm in on this one, and I will be bringing some new blood in with this class. BOX STOCK LATE MODELS!!!!!! 7 21.5/lipo open and 13.5/4 cell all together to start with. Let's Race!!!! Roadsplat 08-10-2008, 11:23 PM Sept 19th sounds good to me. You have to be difficult...don't you. :) RC Racknor 08-11-2008, 03:59 PM Ray I need one race before Mr dialed shows up. Scott good ideas. I will add them to the list. kevinm 08-11-2008, 07:57 PM I agree with Al....A & C RC Somehow I just KNEW that "C" would win.... Racknor 08-12-2008, 06:06 AM And I felt bad every time I hit something with Kevin's car. Another subject: I had this person call me yesterday and was crying about I want to go racing on carpet!!!! So as we talked I ask him when he would like to start? Boy that was the wrong thing to ask! It went something close to this: This weekend I can't, next weekend I will be gone, the following weekend I must stay home, the weekend after that I have company, the next weekend I need to mow the grass, then the following I should go to work and do something, the one after that the dogs need to be taken to the vet, then I need to wash the cars, well at this point I figured we where at sometime in December so I told him we will save him a pit space. I do not want to mention any names because some of you are rudd and might give this person that works at CMU and it is not Rob a hard time! I sure hope this does not make Ray C. mad. hobbyten 08-12-2008, 02:23 PM and all this time i thought you were talking about ray m. hehehehe Brittamaster 08-12-2008, 02:42 PM Hey Keith we can race anytime after all of the above is done ... or should we start without him... RayMusser 08-12-2008, 03:54 PM Hey now come on al! I can race tommorow! Give me a time I will be there! Ray :dude: hobbyten 08-12-2008, 06:09 PM oops, i think i ruffled some feathers there. sorry but i couldn't resist. Roadsplat 08-13-2008, 08:00 AM And I felt bad every time I hit something with Kevin's car. Another subject: I had this person call me yesterday and was crying about I want to go racing on carpet!!!! You forgot mention the weekend I have an appointment to get my hair done. As hard as it will be for me, I will try to squeeze all of the above into the next few weekends, but I still don't think I can make it till after the 20th of Sept. Keith maybe I was telling you all the above dates so that I didn't have to teach you how to fly until December and then figured you'd not do it because it's so cold out...you know how you like to whine. :) RC Racknor 08-13-2008, 08:10 AM Ray M. Ray C. ???????????? As far as flying Ray can we use one of your planes? RobD 08-13-2008, 08:13 AM Keith maybe I was telling you all the above dates so that I didn't have to teach you how to fly until December and then figured you'd not do it because it's so cold out...you know how you like to whine. :) RC Yeah, when is Keith going to start flying? I'm getting tired of looking at the broom stuck into the ground upside down out at Ray's flying field with a nametag that says "I'm Keith, and I can't fly." It keeps attracting pigeons, and they are making a mess of the broom. ;) Racknor 08-13-2008, 08:21 AM I am to busy building cars for dirt oval. RobD 08-13-2008, 08:32 AM Too busy? You mean you haven't built your dirt oval cars yet? Come on Keith, that season is almost over! hobbyten 08-13-2008, 10:16 AM Too busy? You mean you haven't built your dirt oval cars yet? Come on Keith, that season is almost over! no rob it called rebuilding because he keeps getting his butt handed to him every time he races out there and before keith can come after me yes i'm to scared to come over there and get the same thing. i also don't want my baby to get dirty either. hehehehe Racknor 08-13-2008, 10:36 AM no rob it called rebuilding because he keeps getting his butt handed to him every time he races out there and before keith can come after me yes i'm to scared to come over there and get the same thing. i also don't want my baby to get dirty either. hehehehe No I am rebuilding and building cars for others this week. Come on Al get out there. I will wash your car off after the races. Just tie a string on it and throw it in the pond and let it soak. JimSeifert 08-13-2008, 06:20 PM Hi all Well 1/12 scale was a flop last year so I am looking at getting back into the oval raceing. Does anyone have a car for sale that would get me back into the game with not a lot of work needed? Let me know and hope to see ya all this fall! Big Jim toytech 08-13-2008, 09:58 PM Yeah, when is Keith going to start flying? I'm getting tired of looking at the broom stuck into the ground upside down out at Ray's flying field with a nametag that says "I'm Keith, and I can't fly." It keeps attracting pigeons, and they are making a mess of the broom. ;) flying is for the birds, real men race dirt oval in the summer  just kidding hope you fly boys are having fun Racknor 08-14-2008, 05:42 AM Hi all Well 1/12 scale was a flop last year so I am looking at getting back into the oval raceing. Does anyone have a car for sale that would get me back into the game with not a lot of work needed? Let me know and hope to see ya all this fall! Big Jim Ray M. stuff should be for sale about two weeks after the season starts. When the old bus driver kicks his you know what. I am sure Jim H. has several cars for sale. RayMusser 08-14-2008, 02:38 PM uncalled for. Its all fun and games till someones tires get chunked Ray Racknor 08-14-2008, 03:55 PM Al looks like I ruffled some today. RayMusser 08-14-2008, 04:26 PM I do have a couple 13.5 motors for sale though... mel 08-14-2008, 04:49 PM I do have a couple 13.5 motors for sale though... Are you going to run 21.5 lipo? I read that the SMC 3200 lipo is better than the Orion 3200. Somebody fill us in. I don't want to be out batteryed by Keith or A-Ray. If A-Ray does come and race with us please don't chunk one of his tires. He will be in the pits wah wahing. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
