I am replacing the crankshaft on a Troy-Built Lawnmower that has a Briggs vertical shaft engine model 123K02 series 0336E1. I think it is a 6.5 HP Quantum...anyway does anyone know/have a service manual and can tell me what the torque Spec is on the Connecting Rod bolts?

thanks

100 inch pounds (note inch NOT foot pounds) for your connecting rod.

Thanks for posting 30Year after I came back and looked at my post, that could have been taken as foot pounds. That would have been very bad indeed.

Well, truthfully I must have been typing about the same time as you, I never saw your post. I always just try to emphasize when it's inch pounds so there is no confusion.

Thanks Guys! 100 inchpounds it will be. Do you normally use any type of thread locker? I'm a novice so any info you can offer is greatly appreciated.
