Any interest in front sprint car axles that are very light using skellenger spindles and ultra light skellenger axle flags? I think with this combo the front axles could be 2/3 or 1/2 the weight of the current ones on the market, plus they are classy looking:thumbsup:

Mike: These may work very well for dirt but there is no adjustment for caster or camber for pavement racing. Would be great for a shelf queen. Very nice pieces.

These are one of the early Axel Assembles we used and work very well, some of the current one's on the market are versions of this design but with some improvements. They had a few problems as Fred has stated, the "flags" had a habit of rotating on the axel when the tire got hit, you could not get them tight enough, and they required a hole in the axel stock to bolt the knuckle into the tube, The axel stub as well as being not adjustable also only came in 1/4 inch, and were strong enough for the foam tires we ran but not for the rubber we are currently using. Even with those problems they are great looking pieces and Skellenger make a lot of very nice peices, I very sorry they don't make them any more.

thanks for the input guys.

The axle stub mold is missing so that would be a machined part and I think they could be made in different angles. I have the molds for the rest of the items and I have a foundry making some parts now to see how well they come out and to see how feasable it is to produce them in qty.
