Anyone into helicopters?
I'm looking for my first one. I've got a 2ch toy that I'm always playing with, but I want a real heli. I've been looking at a Honeybee, for it's cost and the fact that it's electric.
Any other recommendations?

Head over to RCGroups.com. Hobby talk has just about NO r/c aircraft people at all. I've found RCG to be much better, and if electric flight is you thing try WattFlyer.com.

If you go electric and want to keep the price down, I would look at the Align T-Rex 450, if you want to go nitro, I would go with a T-Rex 600N.

if you r just starting out in the heli world id would buy a 50 size heli.they r more stable and easier to fly.i fly a trex 600n and a trex 450.:)

eFlite is a GREAT brand to go with.
Their newest is the Blade MCX for $129. I have a demo one in my store that customers pick up and fly. First time flyers, yet this little gem makes it look easy. Its a complete package, including the charger and a VERY TINY LiPo battery. Total flight weight is about an ounce. It doesn't crash, IT BOUNCES. Its so light, you really can't hurt anything or anyone with it. This is not some Air Hogs piece of trash. It has full proporional control, collective pitch, 2.4ghz radio, and is near perfect trim out of the box.

Yeah it's time to ditch the toy and go big. I say stay electric and you can't go wrong with Align 450.
