We're going to be opening up a class with the late models. Since we already have the Slider Sprints running box stock we'll mostly let the Late Model class experiment. We run on a loop carpet oval with a 100 ft runline. We'll probably run a Mamba 6800 motor with lipos. What do you suggest for tires with long wear and good handling characteristics.

I have been running TM tires on my slider with great success. Most guys at our local track run BSR's though. Like I said, mine has been dialed on TM's:thumbsup:

Both are good tires but aren't the BSR's a little less expensive?

What colors of compounds you you like to run? How many races are you able to get out of a set?

Also, do arbors exist for truing those tires on a Cobra Trackside Truer?

Exotek makes a nice mini t truer adapter for 8mm shaft truers

Tony's tires are awesome for the mini t sliders and Lm's!!!!!!!

KOZ,

I agree with that! I'm fast on em'. Tonys tires are Purple (40) up front and Magenta (35) rear. I have had them on my slider for quite a while. They hold up very well.

Thanks for the tips guys. Finally we decided to try the stock rubber tires. I haven't tested them myself, but apparently they stick very good. Plus you are limited to 2 compounds, medium and hard, with the stock rubbers, So it keeps things simple. And you don't have to haul a tire truer around, also NO TIRE DUST. So we'll see how it works out. If we don't like it we might give foams a try.
