Check the list on:

http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/brushlessmotors.php

The ESC does not have to be ROAR approved but the motor does.
Hey Fish, I know your going to be around this weekend but are you racing at all?

I guess my Losi motor is not on the list, not very many mod motors on there. I don't see any Fantom motors on there.

Just an FYI. The amount of the general give aways has more then doubled! If some guys are on the fence about coming, I'm all but certain they'll leave with something.

I believe all the stops have been pulled for this event!

I will be conservative here, but I think we are around $4,000+ worth of gifts to give away at this event. I might be mistaken, but it should be around 100+ items to give out ranging from $5 - $300 each. Do the math, if we have 100 people and 100 gifts......thats like 10 gifts for each person or something like that right? Ok just kidding, there is a nice stash of gifts and chances are real good that your going to end up bringing something home with you.

Sounds like it will be a lot of fun, to bad I cannot race since I do not have the right lipos and I do not have the right motor.

Will you guys be selling raffle tickes for some of the stuff? I might show up just to check things out.

Show up and bring your racing equipment, we might be able to find someone with extra equipment for you to run for the event. Motors and batteries are easy to find.

All right guys and gals, tomorrow is almost here.....going to be a blast. Things you should know:

There will be a mobile food wagon here all weekend for food at the track

There will also be food and beverages available at the counter in the pit area

Most of the normal racers will be pitting outside, so we are trying to leave the pit area free for all of you from out of town

Each pit table inside holds 4 people and has power, please bring a comfortable chair with you, some of these steel chairs in the pit area can get uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting in them

If you plan on pitting outside please bring a generator for power, tables and chairs and a pop up if you have one

A large variety of spare parts will be available for sale in the pit area for AE and Losi products

Many wheels and rims will also be for sale in the pit area

Fantom Racing LiPos and motors will be for sale outside in the pit area (quantities limited)

Door open at noon on Friday and 7:00AM on Saturday

Bring bug spray, if we are racing after dark the bugs come out from the lake the track sits on

Temperatures are going to be between 75 - 80 degrees this weekend and in the 50's at night bring clothing for both conditions

Have fun, good luck and have a safe trip over!

We have had between 40 - 60 guys at the track for practice all day long. Pits were full baby, but its looking like tent city outside now to. I think the last I heard we are around 100 entries or so already today. Got some stiff competition out here, bring your A-game guys.

The Wisconsin crew was out in full force, Ohio was represented real well, good group of Indiana guys. Tomorrow I hope to see Michigan represented well! Detroit boy pack up and get on the road early. West Michigan and Lansing are guys, what else are you going to do on a perfect Saturday?

Looking forward to a great day or racing tomorrow, thanks for all of those who showed up today, only going to get bigger tomorrow.

Great time today...... Track was in great condition. Round 3 was a bit slick but it was better for the mains. Great job everyone. Especially you Rolo... Great job with the track today. Only beef was on the trophies, kind of cheap for a region 5 race. My 3 year old still loved it thou. Oh yea, Uncle E thanks for keeping me hydrated all day. Terry Rott your my Hero! and I will take you up on that pro 10.

Thanks to everyone for a great event. Everyone that attended, raced, worked the event. We ended up with 120 entries and 16 heats.

We will be racing tomorrow (Sunday). We will be moving the start time up to allow some of the racers from the ROAR event to join us and still get a good start home.

Racing will start at 10:00. 3 heats and a main. Discounted race fee of $10 for first class and $5 for additional classes.

If you didn't get your fill of racing or weren't able to join us Friday or Saturday, come on out.

Congratulations to all the winners! Really wish we could have made it.

We had a beautiful day of racing yesterday... Wish you guys could have been there too... Maybe you can make it sometimes out here in the winter to run on the indoor track? We are extending it 15 feet. I can't wait to have the new layout ready...

The event went really well, and the crew here did a great job all weekend long... So thank you all for this successful event in West MI.

The best main was definitely the 2wd mod buggy. Boatman and Kai were at it the all race, tenth of a sec apart every lap until 2 laps before the end... It was simply awesome...

I'll see you next week.

Yeah, Chuck had a tough day of racing I think... We all know he's an awesome driver and fair racer, but I think it wasn't really his day... But, you are right, he is a great guy and keep the spirit of racing at its best... Just do the best you can and give it all, whatever happens, even if it is not your best day...

As far as Swint leaving before the end, he did it for his wife and new baby I'm sure... So it's OK to have your own life or family as your 1st priority...

Hope we are going to have more of these big events in West MI in the next few years. It was a blast to be 15min from home for an event like that!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I want to make sure Jason (my son) gets recognition for all the work he did all weekend long keeping the computer/timing system up and running. Every time there was the least little issue he was there to take care of it and keep things running smoothly. He is also the reason results were posted in such a timely manner. Additionally, we had a few of what I call nuisance break downs: blown fuse box, Out of Order Restroom stalls, Water pump malfunctions, .... Thankfully Jason dealt with all of these as well. We've had our issues from time to time, but the weekend would not have been what it was without his efforts.

Yes, I was pitting next to Revo and he had a steady stream of people all day looking to purchase Fantom motors and get in on those killer battery deals.

The "loot" given out included two complete RTR trucks, Lipo batteries, brushless motors, tires, a dremel, other tools, and a ton of other stuff. I'd list all of the sponsors, but I'm sure I'd miss someone. It was all top notch stuff too.

Just wanted to give out some props here.

Roy and Flipse, great job on the track. I didnt hear anyone complain hardly at all during the weekend. I think you guys made the right calls and by Saturday knew what the right track maintenance was. I know when I was doing all sorts of the blowing and watering on the track Friday I was beat, I am sure you both were dead tired come Saturday night. Great job though you two.

Our region 5 director, Terry and the BFG announcer Beef. Nice job on keeping the racing flowing. It was a constant stream of racers on and off the track with little interruption. What could have taken us 14 hours or more didnt even take us 12. Great job to the both of you for keeping the event rolling. Terry, you made good calls on any issues that came up, I think anytime something needed your attention you were not only right on top of it but you made the right decisions.

John, Jason and family, a well deserved pat on the back to all of you. Computer worked great, heats were posted promptly, register was always maned, ROAR memberships were taken and entries were processed and entered into the computer correctly and quickly. All in all many of the things you guys did might have gone on behind the scenes but if you had not done such a good job of things we would surely have had issues during the event. Thanks for doing such a good job that no one even noticed everything you were responsible for, I never heard a single complaint from anyone on the things you guys were handling.

Uncle E, your the man with a plan when it comes to throwing around free gifts and promotional BS. You made a bunch of fellow racers over the weekend very happy. What more can be said? Isnt that whats its all about?

To our many fellow R/C addicts, some of whom traveled over 9 hours to get here. A heartfelt thank you to all of you. This was our first large event of this kind we have ever held at BFG, but rest assured, after all the positive comments we heard at the track from all of you this will not be our last. Keep an eye out for more events of this kind in the not so distant future. We hope to see all of you again real soon!

To the owners of BFg and the members of fatal impact to all of you that made this a premire event thank you it just showes the high caliber of people we have. Way to go guys and gals. You done it be proud of the fact that you don't always have to have the biggest nor the best for the cream to rise to the top

I see:

"Fatal Impact" is a club that betters the local establishment, (beyond what John & Jason can do on there own at BFG) to make it what the racers want. Individual input, etc.

"Virus Racing" is for racers who want to help other racers, to share ideas (no secrets) take a racers truck or buggy home and hook it up. Same thing Uncle E and myself have been doing since January of this year, we now have Bob with his Losi to help us understand ours better and we can help KzooLou, Josh and others out from what we have learned. The growing pains are frustrating unless you have a mentor, money can't buy you a set-up (as far as I know)
