I will definately be there for the pre-season kick off. The track and shop are very nice. They hold some very large touring car races through out the year. Like Sully said its only a few minutes from the highway and right on the Illinois, Wisconsin border.

The store website is www.harbor-hobby.net. There are some good pics of that show the size of the track.

Any open Sat. practice dates coming up? What classes will everyone be running? Is this a Paragon track?

I'll be there for 17.5 lipo/10.54cell. I think Sully said its paragon but I'm not sure. I would think Heft,Koback,Hack,Tennies for 17.5/10.5 maybe??? Will team Gansteinwhite be making the trip? Should be a good crowd of 21.5 i think as well.

Yes its Paragon or what ever. I talk to keith rakner, and he thinks the boys from Mich. will be there. The track will be set up on Friday for OVAL PRACTICE.

Just to let you guys know we are an "open" traction compound facility. I also "mist" 2 areas of the racing surface with paragon to help with the traction.

While our facility is primarily on road, the racing groove for our oval is not run on by the on-road cars as it falls "between" the lanes that the on road layout utilizes.

I will be setting up the oval the morning of the 10th, corners will be approx. 18' deep because of our narrow width.

We do not stock alot of Pan Car Specific items, so if you need something please let me know so I may have it here for you.

Eric

I don't think it would matter what you run Frank, you are going to be fast anyway.

Hi Guys, here are some pictures from harbor hobbies. Ken Lupie and myself ran some laps today at the track, the drive line is 186 ft lanes are 12ft wide and the infield is 12ft wide. The pictures show the infield cornes, they will be new cornes with more of a radius. Ken ran 10-5 4 cell and I ran 17-5 lipio both where close 4/4 up front 4/6-4/7. about 48-49 laps not too bad for a green track. I think when the bite comes up be about 51-53 laps. Hope this will help.

Sully prettty much hit it on the head, track will have new corners for the race and witha little more bite in the track it should be plenty fast.

Ran some laps for the first time last night. Nice Track, long paper clip type. Want to thank Eric for running the computer on some timed runs. Pits are well lit, stocked hobyshop, pop, candy & ice cream.
With as much as Sully & Lupi runing weekly & the friday practice on the 10th there should be a decent groove for the 11th.
Took me about 1 1/2 hrs to get there, Hays said about an hour from his place. There is no reason we can't pack this place on the 11th with all the oval guys in this area.

This monday will also see the start of the Legends/Bombers running again. So with any luck, the groove should start to come in that much better. I won't even mess with the temperature so Ken and Sully can get there missing 2 laps back :-)

I am there for 21.5 and 17.5 lipo. We should have a good amount of 21.5 cars if everyone who said they are coming shows up. Not sure how many for 17.5-10.5 yet, but it sounds like a good amount of cars also.
