Summer Championship Race previously rained out will not be rescheduled due to it being a Non-points event.

Saturday Aug 23 race has been cancelled. With the National Weather Center forcasting heavy down pours and high winds by noon, it is best to postpone our race for the safety of our racers. New date TBA.

4th Annual Boyd Hughes All-Star Shootout
Presented by C.C.R.C.
November 22, 2008



QUALIFYING
10:00 am - Single car qualifying - "Sportsman only" Top 3 automatically transfer to the shootout.
Qualifying Races– Might need to be tweaked depending on number of car entries

THE SHOOTOUT
Format ----- 10 cars ------ 3 races ------ONE winner
Race 1 ------150 laps first segment
10 minute break to tweak your car
Race 2 ---- Finish order inverted and you will run 75 more laps 2nd segment
10 minute break to tweak your car
Race 3 ---- THE SHOOTOUT (50 Lap Shootout To Finish)

Entry fee is $35.00
Track will provide fuel for ¼ scales
Current QSAC rules will apply to all ¼ scale classes
We will have pre and post tech.
No pay back (Trophies will be presented to the top 3 Sportsman class only)
50% of all entry fees and all donations will go to Boyd's daughters' college fund.

No pitting under driver stand *closed for pre/post tech and lunch served *

Classes

Sportsman - will run the All-Star format. (20 cars are expected)
Limited Sportsman - will run 2; 15 lap heats and a 25 lap main. (7 cars are expected)
Sprints - will run 2; 25 lap heats and a 56 lap main.(6 sprints are expected)
Nitro Pan - will run 3 heats and run a 250 lap main after all others. (10 are expected)
It has not been determined at this time if there is enough interest to run a Truck class. 9/22/08
Updates will be posted on this flyer. So check it periodically.
A decision on the Truck class will be coming soon.
Sportsmen will be the only class to single car qualify.

1. Sportsman
2. Super Trucks
3. Sprints
4. Limited Sportsman
5. GASCAR - This will be a points race

With the expectation of at least 50 entries, controlled practice, a complicated format, and a separate points race all in 1 day.
CCRC feels that we should not consider running any additional classes at this years BHASC.
We do regret this decision as we understand there are additional classes still trying to form.
It is in the best interest of a quality event that this decision was made.
With the participation growing each year, if you would like for this to be a 2 day event next year let us know.

Attn: Single Car Qualifying Time Moved Up to 10:00am. Sportsman class is the only class single car qualifying. All other classes will run heats to qualify including Limited Sportsman.

December 6th will be the next club race date. There will also be a makeup date on December 13th. There will probably be a double main on the 13th to makeup for another rainout date. Use the link below to get to the site.

Also, I'm working on a few new pages for the site, so there are new links but they are not activated yet. I will post as I complete the links. I sent a Driver's Bio template out to some racers to start that page & appreciate those that have returned them already.

The CCRC Annual Meeting will not be held at LPR on Dec. 13th. It will be moved to a neutral site. The proposed date is Sat. 1/10/09. If there are any objections to this date email or contact Allen or David. Their contact info can be found on the track website under contacts.

The next & final race date of 2008 will be Dec 13th. A double Main race to make up two rain dates. This is a points event. Racing starts at 1pm.

Glad to see everyone at the meeting today and I hope everyone made it back home safely. We will be posting the CCRC 2009 schedule on the club website in the next few days. There are dates being adding to our proposed schedule that will surley add to an already exciting season.

Please bring a generator if you are needing to run the AC in your trailer. Power is limited!!!

When parking next to the track, please back up to the surrounding fence... not parallel. This will leave room for others parking up close to the track.:wave:
