LIGHTNING44 07-23-2008, 11:28 AM The custom olds looks better than the regular.
Newjon 07-23-2008, 12:31 PM Great pics, thanks, but you really gotta see the custom Chevelle in person to appreciate the beautiful color. Just calling it red doesn't do it justice. The custom Charger is a stunner in the paint department as well.

jimhowie2000 07-23-2008, 08:57 PM Will someone at GL realize 68 Chevelles have vent windows?!!!! And what is with that Cutlass convertible? It looks like the windshield fell victim to a fallen tree........
Natedawg 07-23-2008, 11:07 PM Hopefully I will find these at Target. Especially since I have heard that they are reducing the size of the HWs section and expanding the GL section. Quality sells. Who would have thought?
GO-GTO 07-24-2008, 01:33 PM Nice set of cars!

OK, so maybe I am being too hard on GL........the remainder of the 68 Chevelle casting looks nice and I am glad to see that a few of the custom versions of the cars in this set actually look close to stock and do not have outrageous paint jobs. The Mustang notchbacks are especially nice and I'm glad to see that body style finally done in this scale. For some reason, that misty turquoise 65 Coronet just looks great to me. The combination of color chosen and dog dish caps looks right. All in all, my only complaint still lies in the lack of vent windows on the Chevelles....a small error in an otherwise perfectly done set. Oh, and my Olds convertibles don't look to have crushed windshields like the one pictured on this thread does.
like to 67 GT ALOT!!! bet the 442 will look GREAT as a GM!!!
The Wheelman 07-28-2008, 11:48 PM Mustangs, GTXs, Chevelles, and Chargers for me.
be7bt 08-03-2008, 04:41 PM Those are super nice.

dr.olds 08-06-2008, 07:32 PM White charger looks best of the bunch, very disapointed in the olds, that windshield is pretty bad,the 68 chevelle is nise too.
40Intrepid 08-09-2008, 09:32 PM The stock GTX almost looks like a 4X4 with those big wheels!
Still want to get it though.
600 posts!
69Stang 08-10-2008, 08:37 AM Got my set yeaterday...overall, one of the most solid sets to date in the MCG series!

Congrats on 600 :)
And YES what the heck is up with the giant wheels on die-cast cars? Not realistic at all. The tires should be about 1/2 to 1/3rd that width.
All the companies do it too, so it is not a GL slam at all.

Yeah, at least it's not as bad as the first round or two of JL Musclecars back in the '90s..those sat like 4x4s..

I also was hoping Greenlight would add vent windows on future issues.
I do see several GL's that I will add to my collection.
