I recently took apart my gx 120 and pulled the cam out without noticing where it lines up with the crankshaft. My cam gear has what appears to be a small hole or mark near the teeth. Could someone tell me where that mark should be when the crank is at TDC. Thanks.

I am not positive on the GX series engine, it's been awhile since I have been in one. There should be a mark on the camshaft by one of the gear teeth, and there should be a mark on the gear on the crankshaft as well, could be a bevel, a dimple or dash mark on one of the teeth, these marks should be lined up when reinstalling the camshaft.
