I've got a few dozen sets of super g motor and traction mags that I'd like to get zapped before our season starts in September. Any ideas who does this, how much and the approx turn around time? Thanks for any and all responses. Rick @ Rose City Motorplex

I guess this is as good of a time to ask as any. What is and how does one "zap" a magnet.
Thanks.

Gags,
Zapping magnets is something that is done to bring back the magnets strength. Over time magnets lose their peak strength and zapping will bring them back up to their peak. I also have my magnets gaused which is a process that measures the magnets strength. And, I match them by their gauss number. The belief is that the closer the gauss numbers are to each other the better the armature will perform. I have Scale Auto do this for me. I believe the cost is $3.00 a pair. You may want to check on their price.
