Ok boys I have blown out two stingers of the muffler, I used the 5/16 tap and even JB Welded it in and twice i have blown it out, LOL...... Very very noticeable when I do..... I have them now in place and used JB weld on the threads as well as on the joint of the muffler and stinger.......

Is there some special way I can get around all that.......

Someone tell me the real advantage versus the regular thing that comes in the muffler../... Is it a power issue, the gold stinger allowing more air out which in turn allows more fuel to air in..........

Not sure what to tell you about blowing out the stinger, you are doing everything I do. I JB weld the the threads and I also reinforce the joint with JB weld once I have it tight.

In a nut shell, the advantage of the gold stinger is about .5 sec per lap! LOL It lets the engine breath more.

Are you sure you are tapping the muffler with a 5/16 x 24 tap?

Just let it blow out during the race, It's faster that way. If they say anything just get mad and tell them-dang thing was legal when i started the race.:p
