Ok, where do I begin. oh yeah here    WOW

Nolan has, for me, cemented himself as THE MAN.
This film has everything anyone would want in their Batman film. The Villians were superbly handled and the lore of these characters is magnified by the stellar performances by all. Bale is the best Bruce Wayne ever and his relationship with Alfred and Gordon are exactly what they are supposed to be. Aaron Eckhart blew me away! His portrayal of Harvey is what Lucas should have done with Anakin but just didn't even come close. Harvey is tragic, you actually love the guy which makes everything even harder when things happen. There are some heart-wrenching scenes that take place toward the climax that make this film miles above any other superhero film. The emotions you are made to watch are in great hands because Nolan filled his film with actors. Actors making bold choices.

BATMAN- The stuff he is doing in this film visually remind me of the cartoon, ALOT! His fighting is seen more and his skills are better then BB.
The flying stuff is just classic especially when he makes a landing. He is so badass with his interactions with everyone. New suit gets better, working their way to armorless soon, I'm thinking. I only wish Bale would use that extreme rasp/creature voice when yelling and do the deep whisper more.
Believe me that's a nitpick.

JOKER- he had me at hello, WOW what a performance. His little character choices made him such a joy to watch and I couldn't get enough. With 10 years of acting under my belt I really enjoy watching "acting" and "choices" and inflections and punctuation of lines. His slight stammer was like his mind was moving faster then his lips but everything he said seamed calculated and precise. He was putting some gold out there that I never knew he had. I will call his characterization simply genius. I could watch him all day play that character. Everytime he is on screen he delivers and that's all you can ask for. Nicholson who? To me Ledger took the Joker and made him FINALLY what he is supposed to be a maniacschitzo with a great sense of eerie yet funny humor. He did to the Joker what Hopkins did with Lecter. I want to point out examples but this has to remain spoiler free. Just pure genius. There is no "Death hype" here whatever awards he wins are well deserved and in no way a "memorial nod" Ledger takes what all others did and makes you forget there was ever any other Joker portrayal. His scenes are sure to become classics especially when he meets with the Mob bosses. The last time I was this excited about an actor's performance was Kevin Spacey in Se7en and his work in that film pales in comparison.

Harvey/Two-Face- Oh my goodness what an amazing job Eckhart did capturing this split character. The whole movie you know this guys fate and yet they do such a good job making him a hero that you forget. They do make many references to his fate but they are subtle. People who don't know Harvey's destiny get an added bonus because they are the ones that will really be hit hard by his fall from grace. They are the people that will be shocked and amazed and received the full benefits of this characters developement. You totally feel his pain only because Eckhart nails the Harvey part so well. WOW!

The multi-villain curse is over! There are so many bad guys in this film and yet they all receive just screen time and development. I won't ruin anything for you but Nolan answers the question of whether or not he could handle 2 mega villains. Goyer's script should receive all the praises as well because this is not just a comic film this is a huge epic style suspense thriller with awesome dialogue and flawless emotion.
This script is an actor's dream.

Many people say that the Animated Batman from the early 90's was the Bible to be followed when it comes to capturing these characters. Well I would have to make the statement that The Dark Knight successfully becomes the "live action" version of the complex cartoon. I can not say enough good things about this film. Yes there will be a couple of problems people will have but it is great piece of cinema that is borderline perfect.

Enjoy!!!!
