The AEG sponsored Sauber C9 from LM 1988 - the car was withdrawn before the start of the race due to tyre issues.

The last pic shows the car with the competition that year, from Jaguar, Nissan, Porsche & Toyota.

THUD.......the sound of my jaw hitting the floor on that last photo!!!!

What a collection of cars!

In reference to the history of this car, the fact that it never raced! I think that is one of the most odd aspects of the 1:43 scale companys. They will make a replica of anything! "Well, this one finished down 14 laps in 32td"...or, "This one fell out with brake problems on hour 11". I just love that you get to sample EVERYTHING. Not just the winning Nascar ride.

Ward,

If you really, really try, you can find replicas, in 1:43, of every single car which has run, and some like the Sauber which didn't, in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Some of the more obscure, you'll have to build yourself from a kit.

Spark are currently working on the whole of the 2008 grid........

Between them, Minichamps & Hotwheels produce the F1 grid - from McLaren to Force India & all points between.
