Our next big carpet race will be Labor Day weekend. Friday night road practice, Saturday road racing. Saturday night oval practice, Sunday oval racing. Many have Monday off, this could be one one to get some travelers! Always a great turnout at Minnreg for the carpet racing. Hope you can plan on it. More information soon on our site (just wanted to get the dates out):

You sure like to run your mouth down there....................I ran the Tekin a few times and it seemed to work well. I'm not committed to any speedo so I can go switch to any one of them if I need to in order to kick your dried out, sun bathed, Hobbytalk Forum problem starting candy a$$. But we still love ya. You buy the ticket and I'll come down for a the weekend. You have a strange way to try to lure out of staters. But you caught my attention for a minute.

Hey guys! Love the smack talk. Racing at Minnreg the past couple years has been nothing but awesome. Close to 100 entries each time - maybe one of these days we will (in August or November). November dates are the weekend after Thanksgiving. Not sure the exact schedule for that yet, either oval Saturday night and Sunday or a 2-day format with final heat and mains on Sunday (get done earlier)... thanks for the interest! By then classes for the 'birds will be out and we also will have a race in January. So 3 more times on carpet down here and 2 more once the classes are out to get ready. No matter what good racing for sure.

Hello racers. Just ordered the awards. Looking for two great days of racing indoors on Carpet. I think we may have the biggest weekend yet. Working on specials again for entries. Free 2nd day of racing if you race road and oval again for sure! Bring a bag and stay over (save some money). They have showers. Plenty of room for campers and race trailers. Practice Friday night for road and practice Saturday night for oval. Both days open late till about 1-2am. Doors open both days at 6am with racing at 10:30am. Get those cars ready to race. Ron from Adrenaline doing the carpet and bringing his race crew - and MB Racing heading over Friday to do setup again. The man on the Mike Kenny Holmes will be here all weekend. Remember Jack the Gripper only (we have bottles for 5 bucks).

Also have big trophies coming Sunday for our Sportsman Stock (KIDS CLASS). Bring the young'ins!

it's very sad that mike boylan and florida have way way way better race coverage up to the minute than any two other major events in the entire world!

thanks dusty i was just waiting in the weeds for boylan to screw up like he always does! ahahhahahahahaha

mike bruce and pedano were very fast all day..boylan was ok too i guess, lol.

next carpet race i'm lipo 17.5 as well as half the field...sad and exciting all at he same time.

dusty i'll save ya a pit spot so you can race with us! i'll show you how it's done! ahhahahah

thanks again for a great show

After looking at the results of the past weekend I think they should combine some of the classes. 10.5 4 cell and 17.5 lipo, 13.5 4 cell and 21.5 lipo. The lap times are so close it should work.

Dave

katf1sh
09-02-2008, 05:42 PM
almost........next time we run on carpet dave most of the fast 10.5 racers will be on lipo power only...i am done with nimh cells..you can see my lap times in all 4 qualifiers when i ran a month old shv cell and a fresh shv cell....that was the first time ever for those guys running 17.5 lipo and as you can see those three guys were all in the A main of 10.5....there good...but they can't run two cars on the track at one time..and if given the choice we would all run nimh packs for the power up front...i think they were all a couple seconds slower with lipo and with fewer cars on the track...i couldn't work on my car for hours only to have some guy run nimh and be a half a tenth faster for it...

times are changing yet again

Diff Dude
09-03-2008, 08:33 AM
katfish,
Would you complain if the batteries where the same and there was a .5 tenth difference?

Dave

Dave and Kat, I believe that was the frist race for the 17.5 lipo, they are good but give them a couple weeks and they will get faster.

dave for me i would need the entire class to either run nimh or lipo if you are racing for a win...4 cell runs with 4 cells lipo runs with lipo....they can all run together but you have to score the lipo car seperate from nimh...i'm not racing if i know that one car has a obvious power advantage over me ...it appears right now by there testing that nimh has a slight edge up front over lipo...i would love to continue to run nimh i love the cells..but alot of guys are done buying 2 packs every 2 months in order to have good power...i'll embrace the change to lipo and use my money i save on nimh cells for something else...i have one more club race with nimh and i'm selling off my packs..i can't belive how quickly the oval crowd has adpated to brushless/lipo...every 6 months we get new stuff...at least the cars are all very good.
